Wow 10 year anniversary coming up in just over a week *Opps meant to just edit my last post... my bad
Calypso, Port Atlantis, July 2005. First visit on Arkadia first minutes when it was opened. So for me Arkadia like second home in Entropia (that's why I have apartments both on Calypso and Arkadia). It's a great planet and it's spirit reminds me good old Project Entropia.
Thanks -don't think I've ever paid attention to that. "Welcome Norman Norm Moon Account Created 2005-11-11"
I wouldn't find it depressing at all Entropia Universe - Project Entropia - Planet Calypso have been around a lot longer as you can see from many a player comming to 10 year anniversaries and arkadia is 3.5 years old. There was only the option in the old days to start on Caly and so you will see that refelcted in the poll I have to say I am amased at how many oldies of us there are around.
home sweet Port At-lag-ius home .. was in April 2006 I first set foot in game and played until Nov 2008 when my (now EX) wife discovered how much I had been depositing. Just returned in May of this year and love the new things to do, see and go.
Calypso, Port Atlantis. April 2013. I so wish I could say I was a pure bred Arkadian but I didn't read up on EU as much as I should've. Then again, it's quite difficult to make a proper decision without experience. I lasted 2 month on Caly before I left for Ark! Oly been off the planet once since and that was a day-trip to Cyrene for some weapons that no longer exist in TT.
First closed beta players have born in space on some kind of space station/mothership, they had to teleport down to nearest planet (Calypso) and remember coordinates because going back was only possible if they run back on same spot where they were teleported. On open beta players started to spawn on Calypso, mostly in midle of nowhere with first big chalene to find an outpost if not a town. Not so easy at that time for noobs - no forums, no maps, no equipment, no vehicles and if avatar died he had to travel slowly as a ghost with less than half run/walk speed and with lowered visibility as he was dead. There was Iirc chat channel but most ppl didnt know about, latter for short time MA had own forum and still not many diid know for it so no info, no help ect except ocasionaly in game form other avatars. Typical for that players was that MA didnt have problems with retention and most of them played or still play for years. Problem is - They didn born on one of planets as we know EU now. They have born in another game called PE - Project Entropia. They didnt have and still dont have ability and luxury to choose their planet of origin. Maybe MA shud allow them and new undecided ones to become citizens of Entropia Universe instead willingly or not citizens on particular planet.

Born 2008 on Calypso, near the end of the year (too lazy to look it up right now) A bit of a break a couple times due to things . . . but sort of migrated to Arkadia (with the exception of special occasions and WOF on Calypso)
By default I started on Calypso, but very quickly realized that the planet (and it's forum) didn't fit me. Clearly the wrong choice for me. After making a thread here (which unfortunately I can't find after the forum move), I made a conscious decision to be born on Arkadia. It was quite a struggle to get the old avatar exterminated, and a correctly working new account made. But in the end it was worth it, as more of my peds stick to Ark now. The only remainder of that faux pas is my forum name. But as my mentor description states, I'm: "Arkadian born & bred."
was born on Calypso, April 2008. As the universe expands I feel more like a citizen of the Universe than any single planet, but Ark is the one I always come back to after my adventuring elsewhere is done. Probably explains why I bought my apartment here.
So the only way to be a true Arkadian is to delete the current account and create a new? It's something I've considered to get the avatar creation right from the start (had lag issues b/c of the settings were too high and comp couldn't deal with it, so my ava looks "disfigured" in some places). But even though I'm considered newbie I'm not looking forward to start over with all the puny missions etc.
I was also tempted as I fancy rolling a Girl for a change. However, I dont want to abandon all of my skills etc and start over!
