I see these wave spawns on the map, like carabok and nusul, gallard, oratan, etc...

What are they? I can't find any info on them anywhere.

Firstly welcome to the forums. Wave events are basically just a mass amount of one particular mob spawning, the goal is to get through as many waves as you can.

Most wave events do have a boss, if you want a better idea of them before hoping in there's a number of videos on YouTube, even some recorded on Arkadia.

There is a nusul wave spawn near Celeste outpost. Then it Turns oratan. I did it over and over to get my nusul mission done. Was great

If you can get a team together then oratans you can wave spawn and its shared loot mobs that then come up with different boss mobs.

theres also chances of hitting some nice loots of the bosses and there are several oratan wave spawns hidden around the desert areas these are in addition to the ones that are shown on the map to start with.

There are 'bosses' of different levels mixed in with the puny after several rounds.
This thread has some numbers for you.

Also a question about this for the devs: is there a reason why there is no 'end' to the wave spawns?
Meaning, I've heard people ask how many rounds the wave spawns are. (Like the OP did to.)
Everyone is surprised to learn that the waves continue without end. And puzzled as to the reason why.

Yes, it is a nice way to grind a specific mob (or 2) for an IFN mission.
But it would be much more interesting to do, if there was a set amount of waves.
Even if the 'boss' doesn't drop rare loot; it would still be much more motivating to be able to 'finish' it.
Working towards a goal is more rewarding, and would interest more people to do waves spawns.
Which would be a good thing for Arkadia?

Is it to prevent that people camp the boss specifically, and let other people do all the work of the waves?
Couldn't that be avoided by just making sure the boss doesn't drop a rare item?
Or is there another reason why the wave spawns are 'unlimited'? [IMG]

FYI: This is true for the newbie wave spawns, but the Oratan/Oratan Slasher waves in Oratan camps do have an end and there is a boss (Oratan Lancer). After you kill the boss, the wave resets and you start over.

Ah yes, you are absolutely right, but I was talking about those newbie wave spawns.
(When explaining to starters what else they can do on Arkadia.)
Thanks for the clarification, my post lacked that distinction. [IMG]

Regardless, the argument for 'limited' puny wave spawns remains.
Especially for newbies, the satisfaction of 'finishing' something goes a long way.
And grinding wave after wave ad infinitum, is not something an average rookie's ped card could sustain anyway.

The Arkadian puny are well done, and a big argument for new colonists to come to this planet.
So it's a bit sad that the puny wave spawn events are frequented so little at the moment.
Anything that could increase their usage would be welcome. :2pec:

The locations are marked on your map as blue spots. As long you have the 'cities' icon activated.
The Carabok/Gallard wave spawn is next to the Timber Mill TP.
