Release More Apartments? (Poll)

When will Arkadia be releaseing more apts? Its so hard to find any these days. There is plenty of demand for them.

 

If I am not mistaken, more apartments (and shops) will be added once the population of Arkadia grows more. How many more, no one knows.

 

well this sucks balls in my opinion. what's the sense in making homes for arkadian people rare and friggin expensive?

there is no excuse for this issue, i demand affordable homes for all the homeless people out there!!!

 

If there are 1000 apartments and 900 people wanting one, the price will be really really low. If there are 100 apartments and 500 people want one, then they will have a higher price.

Currently the apartment market has been stable, and releasing all what they still have left will lower the values over time. Remember that all apartments and shops are at first sale sold by MA.

 

I think quite a few apartments are currently held by estate investors. I seem to remember a few peopel buying quite a few when they were released

 

Since I cannot afford one, the sky is my ceilling, I would ask devs to start new apts on other locations besides celeste harbour. That place is already too laggy with so many apts there.

 

That or beef up that server. You got the Quarry and Harbor both on same server.

 

It would be cool to see some luxury estates, small private islands etc. Underwater homes would be amazing if the platform allows for it.

Yes now that we know Cyrene will never have them, I want new apartments on my home planet! And I'm hoping for some that are not in the war zone box type homes.

 

ya, i paid 1k for my apartment, i like it, its on sanctuary, right by the tp and command center

 

A post that I made another housing thread.

This frees up the apartments on planet to be specialised and for those wanting something special rather than just somewhere to dump stuff.

 

I dont like the idea of instanced apartments simply because it kills alot of the value, a big appeal of property ownership in Entropia is that it has a physical location.

 

Well, I remember in the past people selling their apartments were also using 'a great view' in their sales pitch.

 

bah, physical locations on a virtual server change... remember how screwed up vu 10 was... a lot of estates still haven't been moved back to the locations they used to be at since then.

 

Decided to make a poll. Do you think there is a demand for more apts to be released?

There are currently a lot of people that would really like an apartment, and those have been waiting ages to get their hands on one.

Personally, I have yet to decide if I want an apartment on Calypso or Arkadia, or any at all.

 

id like to get an apartment on caly, but only the g size i thiink it was, or a stand alone house

 

If its as simple as yes or no then definitely yes but I wouldn't be surprised if there's some parameters we don't know about that influence whether it is possible or not (active player base size etc..)

 

Hey, i have owned an appartment on caly once. Now all i have left is a cnd/foma shop. Form all planets i do like ark most and would love to own an appartment.

A big problem are those appartments bought as investment. Limiting the ownership of appartments and shops to 1 per avatar would be an idea. Also an Arkadian Passport as requirement would be fun.

What do you think?

Ps: I would love a shabby shack anywhere in a deserted region on Ark... would be awesom and something different.
