PFEU events on Arkadia

Hello everyone,

I think some of you already seen me post in the local chat in all kinds of area's around Arkadia about the PFC hunt. I never really made use of Fora that much but I am going to give it a shot to spread the word a bit more .

What is a PFEU hunt you might ask?
A PFEU hunt is a free hunt open to everyone. PFEU stands for Peoples Front of Entropia Universe, previously called PFA on Arkadia and PFC on Calypso , and its goal is to help people have fun without having restrictions or limitations put towards attending something organized by them. A PFEU hunt for that reason is free of advertisement although sponsors might get a shout out if they want, not linked to any specific society and above all doesnt require you to have an account on anything else except obviously Entropia Universe since else you cant play .
Because it is free and depending on people sponsoring the events (without any strings attached) the amount of people 1 hunt can hold is 6 people. So for that reason we use our websites chat (http://pfeu.org/) to do our registrations.

What weapons do I need to bring?
Nothing all weapons and ammo are provided in the field. You dont even need any skill to use the weapons. As mentioned we want everyone able to join in, that means also new avatars straight out of the starter missions.

So I pass on the loot to you guys?
Nope, loot is yours to keep as well. Although items that drop we would like to see split.

So its free and you get nothing in return, what is the catch?
Nothing, the PFEU hunt is the only hunt atm which is open and free to everyone, the only catch could be that we use a chatbox outside of the game to run our registrations.

How does this registration work then and when is it?
Registration atm for Arkadia starts at 22.00 game time every friday, registration is only open for 25 minutes aprox. You register by stating your full ingame avatar name in the chat when the admin announces registration to be open.
After registration has closed the admin will run an RNG program to pick 6 lucky members to join in for the hunt, after that a location which every has a TP close too is giving for the winners to meet up with the PFEU person in the field.

So far we have had 60+ hunts already to this date on Arkadia and running towards 200 on Caly. There used to be hunts on Rocktropia as well for those who remember that.

I hope you guys like the initiative and encourage people as well to join in and register. I personally love Arkadia, how it looks how it feels (not a fan of the lag though). And I would like people to be able to tell their new disciples in the future that they can stay on Arkadia because of these hunts or maybe some other reason instead of sending them to Calypso by default.

Just updating and bumping the original post

Next to that, PFA is proud to announce that now we also have a 5 times per week sweating event at Celeste outpost. This means that....

- A sweat circle will be made or the event hooks into an excisting circle
- The healing support will be present for at least 1 hour, could be more.
- After 1 hour a total amount of 10k sweat will be bought at 2.2PED/k now, 1k per person.
Healing tends to last more like 1.5 -2 hours.
- The event will be 5 days per week.
Monday: 15/00- 16.00 starting time
Tuesday: 15.00 - 16.00 starting time
Wednesday: 15.00 - 16.00 starting time
Thursday: 15.00 - 16.00 starting time
Friday: 15.00 - 16.00 starting time

As an update, the Tuesday circle will be held together with David Westmoreland and AtlastHaven Radio for more fun and a more effective circle

Quickly bumping this post, PFC hunt number 30 happened today on Arkadia, and it was a good one on Zadul ...
Also as a quick edit here..... the sweatevent times are actually an hour earlier now, because I was able to reach more people at those times

 

After a short bit of feeling ill today I am going to be ressuming my weekdaily sweatcircle again. I have been buying sweat here and there. What is leftover of my funds will carry over to next week. So next week like always from Monday till Friday at the mentioned times (adjusted them now ), 10k sweat buying per day at 2.2PED per k Hope to see you around

 

Another short update. In the procces to hopefully make the event a bit more interactive I started running a livestream during the sweat event.
I enabled songrequests on it so people from the sweatevent or who are just passing by can request their song from youtube. Sadly enough
I am not able to disable advertisements on the channel which was the intentions, so I would recommend an adblocker when visiting. The channel can be found here http://www.twitch.tv/wauspaus . I disabled my mic for it though mainly because well..... I am not as interesting to listen to as people who run the radio .
Also since the PFC website we previously used wasnt updating for Arkadia we made a new one specifically for the Arkadia events which can

Hello everyone

Small announcement for the upcomming week. I am going to be moving to another place, this could
mean that some sweatevents might not happen or that I can only do a round of buying and give
aways. I will try obviously to keep them going as much as I can, the hunt on Fridays shouldnt be in
any danger. Its just the sweatevents which might end up being weird for the upcomming 2 weeks.

Hello again everyone,

Updated the original post a bit with more up to date information about the hunts and sweatevents.
As some of you know the hunts were usually done with the use of CheapA$$ rifles from RT, but these were sadly removed. This doesnt
mean the hunts will stop happening but we will be looking into other options. If anyone has a suggestion or an idea that would be
appriciated .
The sweatcircle times have changed due to some real life things, this did bring the oppertunity to work together with David Westmoreland
to make the circle on Tuesday even more fun.

I will try to keep the forum topic up to date about any changes.

If I read it right you moved all event times to 15:00 MA time? That would exclude me from events.

 

Sorry to hear it Murk but yes, with the times being switched now to 1 particular slot across all days its possible some people wont be able to attend anymore

 

Hello everyone,

Small update here. Because of the last VU the main weapon source for the PFC and PFA hunts have been cut away. We have been working frantically to find a new setup for it. Combined with some other issues that have risen regarding funds, the PFA sweatevents are put on hold for now. I will be around to heal the sweatcircles on an almost daily basis (and I will be here for the Tuesday one since I do that one with Atlas Haven Radio now), but the sweatbuying is not happening for now. I hope I can bring some better news soon

To give an update about the hunts (I know some people on Ark and Caly were worried they would dissapear). Starting this week with there will be 3 hunts across EU comming from us. 1 on Arkadia (Friday), 1 on Calypso (Saturday) and 1 on Rocktropia. The Arkadia and Calypso hunt will now be done using shotguns so obviously some testing might occur regarding what creatures to hunt, due to the high firing rate though the hunts might be short but powerful . The hunt on Rocktropia wil be done using the Hunt the Thing weapons, because we cant trade those participants will have to buy the weapons themselves but will get those refunded together with the ammo handout .

How can one sign up for the Calypso one, I've got things to do there for awhile but would love to participate. Also yay for shotgun fun times!

 

All registrations (regardless of planet) go through the same chatbox On Calypso specifically, keep an eye out for Mercurio Morat who will be advertising about 30 minutes before registration opens on Saturday so 21.30 game time

Long time since I gave an update here

Some of you might have noticed, some havent. But a few weeks ago was PFA's number 52 hunt, which means its been a year since the first free hunt was launched on Arkadia . It took a little bit of time but soon I will be able to actually celebrate it properly.
So whats in store?

-Extra support will be given towards BIG's SSI in the form of free weapons to allow swunting.
-Extra support will be given to the Tuesdays sweatcircle from David Westmoreland and Atlas Haven Radio, the same way as for the SSI.
-Some random Sa'Diresh vaults will be done at random times.
-And lastely, the regular free hunt will be replaced by an Aakas run

All these events will take place in 1 week, I havent determined yet which week that will be. But seeing that the Goldrush is incomming as
well, the likelyhood if it happening then is pretty big

Update for the week I will be doing stuff in.....
Things will begin starting the week of Januari 19 This should fit nicely in the centre of the Gold Rush as well for the instance runs Only 2 SSI's will be given support btw (some have been asking about it), which days those will be, noone knows

 

Update number 2 for this week....
Because the instances arent working properly if you enter with mulitple shooting people I am going to cancel the instance runs I had planned. Even though the hunts are more for a little bit of fun and not loot. Running Sal'Diresh or Aakas with a team knowing a high % will return as "no loot" is not going to be fun for anyone. Instead of the Sal'Diresh I will see if I can add more support towards the sweating part. The Aakas run will be postphoned until I am 100% sure the instances are safe the run in a team.
