When is the next VU? Whats next? :P

I know its too soon to ask, but wondering when the next VU is coming out, and if we could get at least a hint on what you guys are working on atm. If its the treasure system, underground..., pvp, missions, mobs... Just some info on what I should look forward to

So far I like Arkadia, since the start is very good... but you guys are gonna have to work your asses off at least another year for it to be more successful than Caly. Just sayin

I would expect a patch or update rather soon as thins do need altering or realigned but more content you never know these guys are on the ball and want to keep people here for a long time...

 

Didn't they say that a bunch more blueprints were to be added soon, and the new treasure hunting system?

 

I heard something about this Tuesday for the Treasure feature in the finders. Also wondering when they will open the "Underground."

As far as I am concerned it has already out done Calypso. I give it 2 to 3 months before the population here is larger then Caly. I do expect nerfs the very next patch if MA doesnt already do some under the hood tweeking before hand tho.

Hopefully the mining issues MA caused with the new system will get resolved next patch and the night cycles get a little love from Daves team.

 

31 may will be the release date of treasure hunting and with it comes the new vu.

If that is the case, then I see a bright future for Arkadia They need to get people hooked, and the more days people stay on Arkadia from Calypso, the better the economy gets They need a very good base, and the treasure hunting VU could just do that

If You take Auc. and select Items/All Planets, I got 1193 pages total...

Calypso takes 953 pages (being the oldest of planets and most new players start there anyway)
Arkadia after such a short time online, has already 219 pages.
Rocktopia has been longer and has only 17 pages
Next Island 4 pages etc.

So not that hard to see, that Arkadia is far ahead of other new planets what comes to its own economy. There are lots of Arkadian resources, blueprints, weapons, armor already available to support Arkadias own economy + if the next VU brings more to these _and_ Treasure Hunting and some fix for mining-issues and opens Arkadia Underground etc. then no worries... more players will move from Calypso to Arkadia

I was also watching page count for Arkadia auctions and it is pretty amazing. I wasn't expecting such a quick market development.

 

i have to agree with you here, more players will come to arkadia and the market will only improve.
leaving calypso with less players trying to compete in the same market and so it will be fortunate for both!

We need import from calypso, who's in line?

 

I can tell you that I am doing a follow-up interview with Dave for the June issue of the EntropiaTimes magazine, and there will be plenty of content covering his thoughts and feelings about the launch, as well as the weekend show they displayed at, and of course what's in the pipeline. The magazine will be published on the 12th of June.

This will be my crunch-time article for the magazine because I wanted to give at least some days for Arkadia to be explored, as well as Dave to recover from everything.

Maybe a lot of your questions will be answered that way.

 

Woot treasure hunting

 

I hope they have some apartments and shops for sale after next VU.

E.g. we do have some Arkadian noobs running around already, but no Nexus. There are some resources that are not, or not yet, found on Arkadia. Some of those are very common on other planets. We need local shops/traders with steady supply of these. Crafters for one, would be happy, I suppose. Lots of hunters with (L) weapons/armor and miners with (L) amps, so we need crafters and they need resources etc.

So, I hope the shops/apartments would be available soon...

Interesting that someone other then me is also checking total pages and using it to judge the economy and player base. The day Arkadia came out Calypso had ~1190 pages alone. Now it dropped by over 200 pages that appear to have gone totally to Arkadia . Give it a month and Calypso will have dropped even further down. I give it 2 more months till this wonderful planet will be the king of the auction pages

 

245 pages atm so it's not showing any signs of a slowdown

Quite promising few first weeks on Arkadia, let's see what the new VU brings along
