Seems the hardware was a lot more worn out than thought going by the number of people I have spoken to that have seen drastic improvements in lag, loading and general server performance.....
I seen today some lags again when crafting, including two internal errors when open an Estate Terminal of my Shop
I noticed yesterday my shop at Celest north ran faster and smoother than it ever did before I hope it keeps up
Maybe they have had this hardware problem for a long time without knowing it... or they just bought new much better equipment.
And again Internal errors while moving resources to Storage after manufacturing... Sure, Celeste server. Yes, now rarely. But they are available! View attachment 9953
Well lag in 3th-7th minute after each hour is the same Looks like some kind of database synchronization Besides that works pretty smooth.
Anyone else having issues with 'auto use' while shooting gun? Seems to randomly get stuck for a bit the outer reload bar indicates auto use is on but the reload bar doesn't reload sometime moving left, right or jumping seems to unstick it
I get this quite frequently and only since the "server upgrade". IMO it has very little to do with lag, to me it feels more like a new 'feature' designed to semi-randomly lower our DPS while increasing our defensive costs. As you pointed out it gets unstuck if you do any action at all really, move left/right/forward, turn off auto-use, click mouse etc... all these break it and resume normal combat. The reason it feels like a feature and not lag is because the mob is always acting normal and attacking in real-time, chat flows normally and is use able, and there are no other signs of fps/net lag during these shot-lock periods. The only thing that changes is that auto-use suddenly decides to stop shooting/healing, leaving you standing there taking hits from a mob for no reason at all until you notice this and move around to unlock it or die and get sent to revive. For me it likes to lock just before kill-shot, and usually adds 1+ extra regen chip use and 2-4 extra shots from gun to finish the mob. This can be a noticeable cost-kill increase, in some cases it has doubled the cost to kill. Funny thing is, I didn't start using auto-use on most mobs until MA intentionally broke the mob hitboxes. Another brilliant feature to lower our DPS, hitboxes that make no sense and do not in anyway match the size/shape of the mobs you shoot... oops wrong topic Sorry for the long paranoid sounding rant, but everything mentioned above has become quite irritating to me and to the point that it's even more annoying than the net lag we had prior to the server upgrades.
Ya agree with you, it's really annoying. But I don't think it's a feature to lower our DPS, it's to obvious. Happens lot on Ark. Was not that noticeable on RT. Not sure about Calypso, haven't been there lately at all.
