No idea about the ratio, but I love the night here. Just look at the planets floating in the sky... love it that's imagination!
I thought it was just me and didn't ask here on Arkadia Forum, but now that You've mentioned it... I think the night/day cycle is longer on Arkadia. But then again, might be just my imagination. -- Hyssch --
Just give me flare gun so I can light up the night sky for 15 or 20 minutes at time and get some hunting done.
it appears to be a 7 hour day with night being about 3 hours. Making it a 10 hour cycle. If someone can verify this it'd be appreciated (as the cycle is so damn long lol) and I'll keep an eye on it as well. These are rough times only, but atm it appears to be this amount of time.
Thanks Pol! Even rough times help to answer my question. I think your probably not far off the mark. I was on Arkadia for about 5.5 hours today and it was light the whole time. Started to get dark just as I was leaving. +Rep
It appears to change at the top of the hour, but I thought the night was 2 hours. Haven't confirmed that.
Today I found out that the day/night times are NOT synchronised among the planet. My brother logged onto Arkadia yesterday, I went to meet him ingame and he was in the daylight and I was in nighttime! We were sitting right next to eachother with the computers and we were standing at the same spot ingame, yet I was in daytime and my bro was in nighttime.
I am sure many already know playing in windowed mode during the night cycle is very dark. Switching to full screen mode makes it lighter and if you still want it lighter adjust the gamma setting.
