Wasn't my intention to kill the thread mate, after all, I didn't close it. I was getting tired of the nastiness (and I wasn't the only one) that was stifling any sort of meaningful and civil discussion.

I asked nicely the first time and I was completely ignored...

Yeah this is no free economy by any means of the definition more predominantly in the last 3 years MA has been manipulating mu's all down to the 115- 122% MU range. Anytime something rises to near 150% MA floods the markets with a buncha large claims on FOMA with that material.

Not to mention there is really no such thing as a true "Rare" here on Arkadia. Nearly everything can be found with an MD 10 and a 105 no need for anything else. Skills in mining don't mean squat anymore and haven't since MA did them 2x and 3x skill events. The only people really hitting big are the high loss hunters dropping random claims with big amps and getting their catch up loot that way.

Ill stick to playin in neverwinter till fall when the never ending migration will be over then MAYBE come back and see what it looks like when no events are running. If it still shit by then it will be time to activate the sell out strategy and sit on deeds with what I get outta all that.

Realy Nothing wrong with Mining but now alot more volatile DONT RECOMEND USING ANY AMP

I going link my 2014 excel soon

And yes MA push all spots to 115-125% avg/mu
Include hell/foma/ug : Exclude PVP zonee

    @OFF TOPIC

You know that higher tt returns means lower MU, and lower tt returns would mean higher MU?
    (more ores=less mu)

The Markup on any material should never be effecting your tt returns from the loot pool stand point. If Mindark is working returns based on material markups then that is cause for alarm because that's a serious anti trust iinfraction as supposedly the MU % is determined by sales.
Mindark has been manipulating the markups by flooding the markets when they think we can make too much off it and it costs the big depositing crafters more to do business. That's hard to stand up against legally but if they have switched to determining returns base off what things sell for then it is truely time to abandon ship and make an effort to send her to the bottom.

So from a market forces perspective. increased TT returns implies an increase in the volume of loot. And increased supply will tend to depress the market valuation. That's what Airboy is saying. And you understand this because you are claiming that MA intentionally release larger volumes of high market loot in order to depress the MU. I don't understand why they would do it. Where is the benefit for them?

sometimes it sure feels like the MU is counted.. atleast on some item drops.. coz they just coincidently happen to cover the losses of the recent.. i remember in SGA some fellow stated that he had lost 10s of Ks during the sga event.. then suddenly he started looting uber sga items ALOT

smile yea i see what you meen Mr Neil ..

May the power be with you ,-)

ps: i can say LMBL tool helps great for me, one soft with all kind of info for mining!
what is true, is about events on planets can affect mining tt return .. because a lot of ppl go for the event so the general mining cycle of MA goes down and so MA gives less loot out!

pps: Love is the power !! we can learn every day new stuff!

    smile, i agree !

pls dont close it, we are in a free WORLD smilyy

    hmm question pls about :

we had V system, and severl other mining system in the last few years ..

what i dont understand is : enmatter claims are mostly full means III or even IV claims hit , BUT on ore i think its not ok that i have a lot of II values claims .. i think the minimum for ore hits should be III or even IV.. i think its not fair that a ore drop cost 1 ped and get back a II (this happen now till the last 2 VU) when enmatter stays stable !! so that means you have perhaps good HR but the tt return with a hit rate of 35% is still at 160 ped TT return ,-(

i think we have to talk about MA and not only about mining style of different ppl ! MA is playing with our peds! so i think MA has to put a stable mining system and do not change every VU; or when they see that ppl begins to win with theyer theory - and change it.

i also agree about the MU of resource.. MA is playing with us ,-) ,-( (but thats not free economie all is in MA algorythem)

what i also see is : we need more happy crafters, that the miners can sell theyer resource. i think we have to much items on the market, so the crafters do not even know what to craft for the market, they only crafte to get high hits on some items like lvl2 amp light, dino shoos, laser shight, etc (i think you all know what i meen) and they not even sell it on AH .. TT is the buyer !

a good exemple i think is Devil's Tails, the MU is falling in the abyse

    (sorry about my perfect english!)

I tried mining again after a year and a half absence from Entropia. I dropped 50 probes, hit on only 3. Seriously? So 50 ped run netted me a total of 10 ped in return. That won't work for me, guess I will try a few more 50 ped runs and call it a year again. If Arkadia thinks this kind of return will bring in new or new old players like me, they better think again. I spend 5.00 and get back 1.00. Hmmm, nope doesn't do it for me.

Were you perhaps underground? If underground, that's a normal hit rate, you were lucky to hit 3 in the first 50 drops.

If you were above ground then first try a longer run, 200 drops at least. But I also suspect you're overlapping your drops significantly to get that kind of hit rate. Make your drops no less than 110m apart, or use LBML (mininglog.com), it shows exactly the area you've already searched in order to maximize your return.

    tilpsy the

I do use the LBML so I don't overlap. Yes some of that was in the Underground. Why would anyone mine in the Underground if it gives nothing back?

Above ground I only get around 60-75% return. I won' be able to mine underground if there is nothing there. I also bought a number of the Underground deeds, hope other people have better luck there so my deeds will one day pay off. Oh and one other thing, it is near impossible to post here because of the Captcha, I have to try about 4 times to get it right. Irritating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You need to do longer runs then. Most people underground should probably go on runs of 1000 drops minimum before expecting a decent return. The claim distributions are also different from above ground, there are some different techniques you should use there vs above ground. I recommend getting your TT return up above ground before venturing into the underground.

I dropped 1000 peds worth of probes a couple of weeks ago, Using a depth and range enhanced tier VII 105 finder.
I also used one level 5 amp in the underground, when it was done I went above ground and spend the rest of the probes unamped.

    I got 300 ped back in tt-resources.
There clearly is something wrong with mining. Will not mine again anytime soon.

Underground/FOMA/Hell can give you very bad returns. They can also give you very good returns. A lot depends on your technique. I've talked to people who have dropped 500 ped on FOMA and didn't find a single claim. Does it happen every time? No. Can it happen? Yes. It's just the way indoor mining is.
