Sounds My Avatar Sounds/VechicleSounds/WeaponSounds .. non existant

Hi there, First time post here, and I have had an ongoing issue since the Oratan Patch couple of weeks back, up until then everything was fine and working correctly.

1. I no longer have footstep sounds in areas outside - inside buildings and terminal shelters I have them.

2. None of my vehicles make any sound what so ever, unless I crash or bump into the ground - then i get and only get a "bump" sound

3. Guns - I only have the cocking sound, no pew pew on 90% of my weapons, On Caly they work fine. I asked a friend what my gun sounded like to him and he said "A canary fart" that was BLP pistol

***The funny thing tho is i can hear everyone elses footsteps when running beside me, their guns firing, and their vehicles flying over head.***

What I have done to try and correct it from my end

1. Over the past 2 weeks I have done a total of 6 fresh Installs, after a complete wipe , including the APPDATA files and document folder files, these 6 installs ALL were fresh downloads each time. - NO copy and pasting any files

2. I have reinstalled my OS windows 8.1 - no hate over that please. - because I also have installed windows 7 both versions are 64 bit and Professional, and it has made not one difference in the issues.

3. Run file check thru the launcher - Came up saying 100% fine

4. Cleared the Shaders via the Launcher

5. Re-downloaded Graphics, sound, chipset drivers before and after trying the complete format of my pc and reinstals

All my other games work fine, no sound issues in anything else either game or application.

I "DO HAVE" Menu click sounds, log in beep sound, emote voice sounds - laugh etc, oh and mobs and environment sounds are working.

Please any constructive thoughts or fix would be appreciated.

If I think of anything else that I have missed I will update here.

Hi there, I have the same problem. I already send a suport case. and I don't have global sound too.

 

Same things happened to me here, is there any solution for it?

 

I lost all sound to the game around the same time. re-installing the sound drivers fixed some sounds but not others. This also coincided with a malware attack on my home network. Only the PC switched off was unaffected. This seems to have been quite a malicious attack and I ended up re installing the OS and Entropia to finally fix all the sound related problems.

 

Yea? sorry to hear that you had a malwear attack. I have reinstalled both windows etc and sound drivers and still no difference

 

With all the different items that are affected it's most likely a platform issue that MA would need to fix and I hope they do quick, can't stand hunting without sound on my guns at least my sword still have sound

LoL, my sound problem is weird.
Some works one day and others not. Next time when I log in then it changes around.
For example: sleipnir and mining finder work but no sound from UFO, next log in the UFO has sound but not the sleipnir and finder any advice , or is it part of the sound bug that will be fixed ?

 

Yeah also the Quad without sound in space yesterday was awfull, seem like are many problems with sounds for cars, like for weapons.

 

no sound at the end of aaakas runs love that music as well and seams a bit dull at the end without been able to dance to the music
