My main point was the time frame 10pec within a month was not realistic. Yes, Arkadia have a big chance to increase the number of players and I think the will, but not that fast. We also have a spike in interest in the Underground because it's just launched. So people should be cautious about predictions about the future payouts from the deeds. My guess it will end up under 2 pec/deed with in a month, but could go up if more people joins the planet.

Don't really how exactly it works but just a thought. Lets say there were 50k deeds sold. Now, do only the bought deeds get paid out or also the deeds that are still on the trader? If the deeds that are on the trader are not paying out then the return of deeds will keep going down, if they are being bought daily, until there're enough people looting in underground.

As for fraction of pecs, i hope they end up split up between a team and loot pool for ark undergound.

Arkadia probably owns the ones not sold and the payout from them goes to Planet Arkadia.

There is a statement from Dave Dobson that income from any unsold deeds will be directed towards further marketing.

The share of tax that goes to each deed remains constant (1/200000).

They have also explained how fractional pecs are handled. Basically any tax due to a deed holder is paid out in full to that deed holder but it is transferred to them in increments of one pec. If you have a fraction of pec due to you then that fraction is retained until you have accumulated at lest one pec worth and then that pec is paid out to you. As a deed holder you get all the revenue that is owed to you one way or another.

    Regards,

At least it was cleared up, it was either:
    1. Fractions are applied instantaneously
    2. Fractions are held in limbo forever (hidden multiplier? lol)
    3. Arkadia's method :) Kudos.

Off topic: The rep system is currently down for forum repairs/upgrades. It will be back (hopefully) soon!

On topic: David talked about the Arkadia Underground and related issues including the fractions of pec situation on his interview last night with Arkadia Radio. Hopefully there is a download link soon for those who missed it (if there isn't one up already).

I am also very interested in hearing this.....

and for comparing AUD to CLD, I think its the same as apples to oranges. AUD should be compared to a FOMA dome no? in a sense you are buying a part of land area that loots like FOMA... And if FOMA domes can give a higher return then CLD couldnt a AUD?

AUD are easier to sell and buy then a FOMA dome also. So I would think that a justifiable response would be there are pluses to AUD over a FOMA dome.

David said that they won't release an answer to this, but they are saying deeds are being sold steadily.

As for Underground - what I could gather from the interview with David is that, ofc they will try to improve it as they can, but its not in their plans to host huge events that will draw in a huge amounts of players for a period of time (like a merry mayhem in underground or the smuggler event on ark we had some years ago) or adding extra monsters that are significantly better than other mobs in EU, so everyone would hunt them. Their main goal is for the growth to come naturally with Arkadia growth.

So in short - you shoudn't expect much higher returns in any near future. So I guess, its more like - buy it if you want to support Arkadia. If profit is the only things that interest you, there are other, better opportunities.

I'm seeing AUD routinely surfacing on Calypso for sale at 49 and even 48 PED. This likely will produce undesirable affects on the continued AUD sale. After all, why fly to Arkadia and pay 50 PED each when over on Calypso people who impulsively purchased are now impulsively selling for less because they just want to use that PED for game play? All you have to do is watch the #Trade and #CalyTrade channels. Of course impulsive buying and selling will happen no matter what, especially when the cost to entry is so low.

What Arkadia should consider doing is constrict the supply a bit more in order to ensure continued demand. If this can be balanced to the point in where demand outpaces supply, the Calypso resale price will exceed 50 PED again, and when that happens, it will effectively serve as a force multiplier on demand allowing Ark to sell even more.

With that said, I think the future of AUD is good. Already most people, well everyone I've encountered are willing to take AUD stacks as complete or partial payment for items of value.... Making AUD the new fiat currency in Entropia.

While I question the judgement of people who bought AUD looking for quick turnaround, I don't think it's really a problem for longer term sales. If poeple can pick up some deads cheaper than at the broker then of course that's a sensible thing to do if they were going to buy elsewhere. It might take a little while longer for all deeds to sell but I think that's ok. I don't like the idea of restricting broker supplies to artificially force the resale price up. That will lead to more tempation for resellers and less opportunity for everyone else.

I don't see the need to try and increase MU... after all, restricting deeds means by definition that less are being sold which means slower income for Arkadia. At the current time, while deeds are still available from the broker, the only ones who profit from higher MU are resellers.

There needs to be price stability.

Since these have a base price of 50 ped, to go down to 49 or especially 48 ped is huge, especially when you start talking about large stacks. If the average payout is 2 PEC per day, thats 100 days worth of payouts gone.

Resellers arent really affected by that, end users are.

If resellers are advertising, and able to get 51 or 52 PED outside of auction, then other people who sell will also ask for and likely get that same price, or if they are in a hurry, can easily get 50 PED per deed thus not causing people to LOSE money on the resale.

The point of temporarily increasing scarcity to cause a higher resale price is to increase total sales volume at the broker long term. AUD so far have been very successful, lots have sold, but due to the sheer number available, I assume that lots more are still left.

AUD become a lot more attractive if they are performing well in the open market.

Its important to me, and should be to us all, that AUD continue to be successful.

They will be. People looking for a quick turnaround were disappointed and are trying to free up ped. If i had it.. I'd be buying them all up for 48ped.. As Dave said.. people who are looking at the yield on aud and are like.. what is this?? That all??? Are short sighted and nieve. Same folks who say that also say hunting mining and crafting are excellent returns. Also have to think the folks who got it for sale at 48ped need fast sales.. got them in trades for little.. or just don't care to lose a couple ped. Had someone offer 107 and 1k for my esi the other day but refused it.

In fact... I might just start buying them up.

    Lezardine reporting in.
    Hello fellas!
It's been a while since I posted anything in here.
I'm happy to have checked the state or Arkadia just when the AUD's were released, I'm now the owner of 4 deeds and I look forward to acquire some more in the future, lemme free some peds! :)
I'd like to point out the fact that the AUD's price is A LOT more affordable for the low budget participant (not using "players", this is more than a game :p ), I for instance can't afford the CLD's.
I hope the new content planned for 2014-2015 will draw more ppl into EU (preferably Ark-Underground )

Now for the sake of AUD's revenue everyone should be hunting / mining / crafting underground. Let's all be a bunch of troglodytes!

    Cheers and GL.

    .Lez.

(Geez I should update that sig...)

I think I got over 150 AUDs currently. Bought about 120 or so from the broker, the rest from the open market.

I don't mind the price dropping, since I will probably end up buying alot more.

For those looking at the long term view, AUDs are still a good deal. Unfortunately, due to the lower prices in the resell market, I think broker sales will be alot slower now.

Maybe Ark team can consider dropping them as loot, like how CLDs drop (or dropped?) in loot occasionally.

As for me, I will probably buy a few every time I got peds to spare and the resell prices seem like a good deal.

As for hunting / mining in the underground, am running around amp level 5 mining there for a while now. ;)

It costs more than 2PED if you are on Ark to fly to Caly to buy one and then fly back.

So really, lower prices on Caly amount to nothing as far as I am concerned on Arkadia. There is nothing wrong with current price of these deeds, and no adjustments are necessary in my opinion...

Still no official weekly posting of how many deeds are still left in that darn broker... would be nice to get that information as I've mainly been buying from broker lately. Actually thinking about possibly just using roi on the deeds I have now to purchase more deeds later, but that's a bit slow at the moment since I'm only holding about 44 of them so far.

I assume that there will be updates to the Ark Underground in the upcoming Partner VU tentatively scheduled for next Tuesday. Any updates will boost activity / AUD revenue and likely will renew interest in AUD.

Is there any preview information available?
