    Overseas greetings...

Ok, I'm very new to this game and it's way alike other mmos I've played, also have a feature that I love most in games, SCI-FI. So I guess I must introduce myself. I'm a Brazillian player same nickname always, and I was dazzled by the full name feature of this game. I played mmos for like 10 years or more, already convinced other Brazillian friend to join.

Here's my problem: I started my very first toon and hey, freebies from npc is a good start, but I wasn't aware of the (L) feature of weapons I carried so I end up without weapons neither PED. Well I tried Entropia foruns but that place seems to be dead cause I'm waiting for a week for a post approval for some mods and still nothing. So I decided to start over. With a little more knowledge of the game I was able to purchase my first weapon that can be repaired. But now this is the thing, only profitable thing I can do for now is sweat and takes a while to gather and to sell, is not every day that someone is on the mood to buy your hardwork, so I'm getting trouble to keep the ammo, since my knew weapon burns a lot more ammo than the trainer one. yeah gives more damage but still is hard to make some extra.
So here's the question, besides sweating and killing karabocs and gallards to sell loot, is there another profitable thing a newbie can do to earn some extra. Oh btw, without PED mining is also out of the table. Thanks in advance for any help you might provide.

    Umm.... You can always try

    A) deposit 10 dollars and try to hunt. make sure you KNOW how too first, or

    B) try one of those pedtoclick sites, or

    C) get sponsored from someone to go hunt/mine for them.

I like the b option, any suggestions where to start. I'm the founder and current leader of a MMO guild / group called Epheriom. We started playing Ragnarok, then went to Runes of Magic and we might settle here, so don't be alarmed with tons of newbies Brazillian, most here will want to try at least a portion of content before investing money and time on the game. For me I'm here to stay as long the server runs.

Ty, we might find each other on weekends perhaps, I'm on GMT-3 so 5 hours difference might be a little bit hard do stumble on you since I only play at night, for now I'll keep sweating ;)
Then I'll try to slowly find my spot in this game.

Welcome TO Arkadia and Entropia Universe Murkalael.

Another option I haven't seen mentioned here is collecting some oil @ the Rig. The rig is however in a pvp zone (non lootable so don't worry about that). Oil spawns in a random location in a radius around the rig every few min and who ever finds it first gets to keep it.

There is also running services for players, such as healing them while they hunt or even advertize services they run.
There is also the option of trading once you have accumulate some PED to support yourself.

Like already mentioned find a mentor to assist you in learning. Not only do you get info but once you graduate you receive a full set of armor and a vehicle.

    Regards,
    Chris

This game is very difficult to progress if you choose not to deposit. However with a good mentor to guide you a 10 to 30 dollar deposit can last quite a long time. Or no time at all if you make bad decisions.

    Read Alice's guide here:
    http://rp.apachenet.de/downloads/Entropia_Universe_Guide.pdf
It will help you for months to come. It's very detailed and contain all the info you could possibly need.

Keep reading until and after you find yourself a mentor in your time zone. Don't rush with mentors, it's not about getting one quick. But getting a good one that has in-depth knowledge of the game and is active, near same time zone as you. You require to cycle a certain amount of peds to graduate, so it doesn't matter if you graduate as a newbie, or as a more skilled player.

And consider depositing 10-20 bucks, to get you started unless you wanna sweat or collect fruit/stones (you can walk around and pick it up).

    Hi Murkalael, welcome to EU!

I find our wiki at http://www.entropedia.info useful, but be aware all info is not always current (like Mark Up). You can check mob's, what level they are and what loot they have potential for, convenient.

Othervise... always use gear that your skills are good for, othervise it can get very un-eco.

And as mentioned, get a Mentor - that Disciple graduation armor is just what you need.

    best of luck in EU!

I played the game for about a year and here is my findings:

Hunting is most return back on invested money to begin with.

Mining are ok, but those charges you must by to use the mining equipment is damn costly and return on invested money was little less then hunting.

Crafting is really expensive and gave less money back in my opinion.

All this said it is a fun game but for the money to last longer, hunting was my choice.

But hey... who wants to hunt all the time... try it all ... and welcome :)

Ok, let's see how I'm doing so far. I already got:

    -Psy-Blade
    -S.I. Combat Knife
    -S.I. HK 110
    -S.I. Scorpion
    -S.I. H.E.A.R.T
    -Rookie Terramaster
    -Ptech Refiner
-Driller (I don't remember the name, just know is UL)
    -Have sweat gatherer lvl 8
    -Evade lvl 3
-and lots of attack skills lvl 2-3
-got HP increase to 94, weight increase to 270
    -already got a mentor too
Not bad for a 3 week player that didn't made any deposit I believe.
Now the thing is: I want a Sleipneir, as far I was researching about, costs around 24-30 PED withouth thruster, so how hard would be for me to craft my own? Entropedia.info is a good source of knowledge for knowing about the item itself, but is poor on cross reference, to know where to hunt/mine to get specific things, so far I've beeing found good people, a few already made as good friends that really helped me a lot on my achievements.

Oh there's another thing, is it possible a player get a broadcast on HoF without beeing in a party, hunting like caraboks/gallards/osteloks?

A Sleip aka VTOL will be hard to make since it requires the crafting skills etc. it's easier and cheaper to just safe up the money for it and buy it.

You don't need the thruster, as long as you don't want to fly really slowly throguh space. You need Oil to get that thing to fly.

For the HoF: It's possible to global on Caraboks, Gallards and Osteloks and you don't need a team - never seen a HoF on them. It's just rare for the first 2.

http://www.entropialife.com/ViewMob.aspx?M=329 this is the Global history for Osteloks, if you don't have a EntropiaLife account, you should get some for statistics :)

It's not like "WoW", but like yesterday I saw Shared Loot Team (I guess), get a 11PED on a Carabok, this surelly come at handy sometimes for newcomers like me. I had a rough beggining until I understand how to make some money for at least buy ammo.

The "Shared loot" is a wave event on Arkadia and everyone gets a share on the killed mob based ont he damage done to it.

Ok, just to don't start another topic and since I was talking about sleip, I already have one and now there's a question about sleip and space, I was luck to dodge lots of pirates on my first space travel, but if I'm not luck next time, is there a weapon to attach on my sleip?

Sleipnir Mk1 can mount VTOL MMB AS-35(L) as a gun pilot. Is a rocket launcher, using explosive ammo (looted and you can buy from another player)). If you have a gunner for second seat, this gunner can use Fire of Hel(L). This is a multibarrel gun, using BLP ammo, (looted or you can buy from trade terminal).

Pirates use fight with more advanced ship than Sleipnir, perhaps you can use Sleipnir guns if you try hunt space mobs.

    Greetings and welcome Entropia Universe.
