Yes, it's impossible to afk skil evade :)
Mobs stop give skills after a few hits.

the point of the game is not that u can skill up evade afk.... :D, if u want skill up evade simply swunt(sweat dry and after kill) caraboks.

It used to work that way, but that was a long time ago: 2004...

These days the best way is swunt, and once you reach about 1500 evade start looking for missions that give evade and/or dodge, and other skills related to the evader and dodger professions.

jdegre.net/pe/unlocker.php <-- this link will show you more about which skills influence which professions, aswell as being able to check how much of an increase a reward gives.

entropedia.info <-- this link will give you lots of information about....just about anything in the game.

edit: keep in mind these links are maintained by the community, not by MindArk or any planet partner. This means the info might not be 100% correct on everything, but we try to keep it as close to correct as we can get.

MA implemented an anti skilling code long ago. I used to get bored mining and when an atrox young would ninja spawn out of thin air I would break out my fap 5 and dance with it until it killed me. Well I got to a point where they couldn't do that and I noticed that after that change they would start to hit more often and if you didn't die they would start doing incremental damage until you did. Only the betas and certain old timers have reaped the rewards of fap skilling. Now they have that advantage that has been cut off for the general population. You will find that a lot in here. Certain things can be done for a while by certain players and once the general population gets wind of the advantage it gets removed.

I would have to find the original post, but someone did the research and it goes like this:
You'll gain evade for 90-120 seconds of engaging the creature.

So what I do to gain evade is train about 10-15 caraboks and heal. I try to time the healing to stop around the time 90 second engagement is up.
You'll gain 1-4 pts of evade each pull.

I gather 2-3 caraboks and sweat them. (I usually only sweat 1 of the group before killing the group, so the skills don't dry up on me.) Then just heal a little after I kill them off. I seem to get about 1-4 defense skills gains. Evade has been moving nicely. I started that process at level 10 and hit level 11 after a couple of weeks of this method. It's boring but well worth the decay it will save!

Isn't AFK skilling against rules? I have heard this for long time.

If you are low on evade, go face smash into L100+ mobs over by.. shoot I forget the name.. it is some obscure TP where the Warlocks are. Just die over and over again. Evade goes up pretty fast :)

It's close, but not quite. Still, I share the frustration a lot of you guys feel when people consistently do this sort of thing. In the past we set it at 3 months and when enforcing it, got abused for over moderation/power trips etc. Now its at 6 months and it still happens or (like this one) is close enough to the line for it to be annoying..... Most of the time now we look at each on a case by case basis and see if the comment is actually constructive to the discussion or just a flagrant necro for necro sake.

i don't want to necro the post, but i will add my own experience, i've go on RT, and try to gain more evade by just jumping in the water behind CND club/lagoon, and get killed by sharks/ripersnappers -> gain some evade each 3-4 death, i've done it 50-60 times then, evades stop skilling up. i'm a noob so my skills are low, but for player with low skillz, you can do this method on higher mob too, especially on bots to gain dodge too

Please dont do it like that.
    Its like sweating.
Mob from wich you gain skills become "dry".
Not only that it will not give skills to you any more but it will not give skills to any other player who might hunt it after your skilling.
So if you are after skilling - jump in midle of mobs and agro them, fap for a minit or two then run with them to turret or kill them by yourself.
If you leave those mobs - by dying or jumping in vtol and similar you steal possibility of skill gains to other ppl who might hunt them.

i don't do that on all planets, only on RT, because :
    - in the sea just behind CND club/lagoon : they spaned tons of ripersnappers and tons of sharks
    - there no active players killing them
    - as a noob, only 1 bite from 1 mob kill a low level player ( yake between 100 to 250 hp per bite, so one shot kill )
    - as a noob, can't kill them (no skill and no gear to do that) and no tower to make them be killed
    - no other way to skill evade as fast as this when your so noob like me :)
    - even if they don't give me more skills, (probably cause i have too much for this technique atm), they continue to give skills to my friend until he reach the same level as me, so i think the trigger is avatar bound, and not mob bound (like when you see a mob with less than 50% hp left, and not in share loot mode, just wait till it reach 51% or pore and kill it, you take the kill and the loot, cause the "most damage trigger" reset itself).

Now, maybe i'm wrong, and since i will not put a step in RT before a loooong time, i don't do such techniques on other planets / mobs.
I prefer doing mission, or other techniques explain by other people in this thread, i just wanna give a boost at my skill in the first level^^

Your frend was porobably attacked by another fish if there are many.
Thing was widely tested and documented trought the years by many players since MA introduced this change.
It was even tested in space with pilots and space mobs.
Mobs do not reset if you for example run out of radar and come back.
Also they do not reset if you relog or if you cross server border ect...
They will not give defence skills . Need to be killed or to wait server restart .
Ofc they still give other skills when you shoot and deal damage.

*There is nothing wrong if you run with small mobs to turret and faping.
Maybe wearing low lvl armor too, You will get a lot of skills.
There is only one condition - you must find lonley place without other green dots in radar to not be accused for harashment.
