    So the flying mobs-issue is still not resolved and ppl will stand in the entrance and shoot and everything will continue as before with the same level of frustration, is what the above quotation translates to. Not really the smartest move imho, to ignore a complaint that so many have voiced...

    I accept that, but then perhaps the A-team ought to postpone next stage of the event until then? It's bad PR for Ark with all the flying and untouchable mobs.

    The next VU is probably months away so it wouldn't be a good idea to cancel these events until then. Besides, the Oratan aren't going to let up just because we find it hard to fight them! IMO the flying mobs and unreachables are an annoyance but they ruin the event or anything like that. There is still usually plenty to shoot at even when they are in those states.

    Maybe they will be at Steadfast this time, or do they fly there to?

    The flying mob problem is not that big a deal since it is known why and how it happens. The problem now exists in the level of ignorance and selfishness of certain players who refuse to follow instruction and not stand on walls and not move from under the gate. Personally I think since this is now a VERY publicized issue that there needs to be some disciplinary action from the IFN towards these soldiers that simply can not or will not follow instruction. It boils down to you were asked by official reps of the planet dev teams to NOT do these things and are in breech in the EULA that effects everyone else participating's game play by not following their directives..

    I still say the IFN reps should be less carefull when airstriking the base. Nuking ppl a few times should send a point imo :p

    When they fix the mobs from flying in the air they can fix the mobs staying on ground when looted also. Not sure if everyone agrees but it is killing my enjoyment of the game, so aggravating to hunt and deal with them. Especially when you are mob ganged on you can't move you can't see you can't find targets because no clue which mob is which. I have been just unequiping armor and dieing to just get out then I log off from anger and do something else.

    I haven't had this problem. What mobs have you been hunting? BTW I doubt the A-team's solution will have anything to do with carcasses, since that's a Mindark platform issue.

    Its a pretty big issue during the attacks because of the sheer size of the carcases.
    When a good group is there shooting you will have 2-3 of the cruise ship sized mobs in front of the gate and its impossible to see anything that is going on because you are behind or inside on of the corpses.

    Oh I thought he was talking about general hunting. Yes it's a problem during the event, it would be nice to reduce their duration. But you can target other mobs behind the carcasses, even if you can't see them. At least they don't block shots.

    But it will also kill the mobs which might miss our target as the spawn point is fixed.

    Yes I was targeting this event only but it relates to other hunting also I guess, I stopped attending these events soley because of the carcasses remaining and it being annoying. I use to love to hunt Tide Claws on Cyrene, and Rextelum's on Calypso but because they are so big and they remain I pretty much stopped hunting them also because of annoyance.

    I still do not understand how or why they ever would think it was a good idea to do this. Even if it was something still to be implemented it is stupid and should not be implemented because it is annoying as hell and it does cause people to avoid doing those actions because lets face it if your annoyed why the hell play the game doing it. Your playing the game for what is suppose to be entertainment not playing to get pissed off because annoying junk.

    1900 MA time is 3am for me, managed to stay awake for 1 hour to spend some ammo. Very variable who got swirlies, not sure if it is truely damage shared loot. Didn't see if anyone looted anything?

    Swirlies go to the first 12 to do damage to the mob.

    The madness was still ongoing full scale at 1am@MA when I left, so you could as well wake up earlier instead of staying awake longer :)

    I suspect that having or not swirlies depends on something else rather than the value of the share/damage, because in events like this I sometimes have them even with a loot like 2 pec of ammo.
