Hello all, It was an amazing day here on Arkadia. With the IFN issuing alerts and asking for the community's help in beating back the rising Oratan threat. The scene was just incredible to witness. There were Oratan Lancers (I thought I saw an elite out there but I guess I was drinking too much. lol my bad sorry ) and along with the variation of mob spawns (something that EU hasn't seen before) . It was crazy hectic and the servers were overloaded at first. Both Radio Arkadia and Normandie Radio stepped up to the plate to offer assistance to the community to give the details as they became available. Both Dj Hyde, and Mel Bosshart were awesome in keeping the community informed on those pesky oratan. I was very wowed to see that both stations worked together in such harmony. I hope that this is the first in a long line of events that we can cover together, or with any other radio station in Entropia. While we were able to get DJ Hyde to cover the Oratan event I should point out that we were already in the process of covering a huge planet hopping event for K-max's 3rd spawn day that our very own Wildman was covering. We have a split stream feature on Radio Arkadia that made it possible to have two different dj's on at the same time covering two entirely different events. Happy Spawn Day K-max, And to any Oratan that might see this....we will defeat you one by one!
I thought it was great fun, and a damn fine job from the Ark Dev team. One thing though... My teamspeak channel was full of "has anyone looted items yet?" nobody was looting L weapons, or ESI's, or any of the normal big bash loots... It kinda seemed like MA was holding out on Ark. We all know the PP's like Ark have nothing to do with drop rates, or even when or how items drop... but it would be a good question for MA, just to see where it all went. We eventually did hear of a few items dropping and saw a few small Hof's, but I think MA was the real winner on this one... All in All it was a fun event, and I know we would love to see more 8)
I had a great time and looted pretty darn great over all break even and then a little bit I am glad we got it sorted out that server issue really caused a big confusing at the start!
It was awesome, thanks ark team. Hope next time we dont have to wait arround for 1 hour and a half before the event starts
Event could be great if we wouldnt crash so much. I was getting kicked from game every two minutes during whole event, it took away all pleasure from playing
Same here, sometimes literally even after 5sec being in game. I almost never knew what I looted bcoz I always crashed befor mob was looted. I'm really looking forward for some arkadia events. Hope you can manage a better one next time
