Well, I have to admit, it is really bugging me. During 'night time' on Arkadia, it's dark. And I mean, really really dark. I run/drive into trees and if I don't wear my orange jumpers, I can't even see my own avatar. I have to try even harder targeting mobs if I am out hunting. What I wanted to know, are you going to brighten the night time on Arkadia like they did a while ago on Calypso?
ive hated night time since it came.. coz i play in windowed and i cant even see my avatar and mainly navigating through map.. and often refuse to hunt when its dark coz its so hard to see those mobs.. imo we should be able to uncheck the night option.. and let the RPers keep the night
yeah I have to admit, while i enjoy running around in the dark, having an option for people would be a very good idea. From what I've seen, it seems to be clientside too as I've had my friend logged in standing next to me and one of us is in night and the other day......either that or it was a freak occurrence/bug (granted it happened a fair while ago too).
I'd like to see infrared goggles for effective night time hunting...would be awesome for first person.
There are also some parts of the planet that give more contrast at night, like the desert and the arctic. But no, i doubt the darkness level will be adjusted, they already made it brighter quite a while ago (before Caly adjusted theirs) in order to find the most happy medium.
I also noticed that with the Little Big Mining Program the contrast can affect it moving the circle for you. Meaning the light level and the terrain can cause you to have to hit P alot to reposition the circle rather then it doing it on its own.
Adjusting Brightness If you are having problems playing in Windowed mode try adjusting the brightness of your desktop display. You can do this either through your Nvidia NView Desktop Manager or your AMD Catalyst Control Center. This should provide a level visibility you can play with. Personally, I like the dark in windowed mode but I do understand why you'd want to adjust it.
I know this is an old thread but just change your Gamma settings in options that will make it lighter .. this cant be done in window mode so change to full screen change it then go back to window mode.
