Anyone who has any ideas on how to solve this problem, it would be greatly appreciated. When running Entropia Tracker with the Entropia client under Windows 8, which normally works fine, at random times, usually after I have played for awhile, the client will crash to the desktop and tell me Entropia did not shutdown correctly and ask to send information to Mind Ark. After letting the client send the information, I still cannot restart Entropia, but am forced to do a repair of my installation under the Tools options and tell it to remove unexpected files two of which, the dmp file and one other, it is unable to delete regardless, but at least it will then allow me to restart the client. The only solution so far has been to uninstall Entropia Tracker completely and not run it. If I do that then the Entropia client does not crash. At least that is the way things seem to appear. Is there a way around this?
sounds weird shouldn't happen as all the tracker should be doing is reading your chat.log file... send a support case to them too: http://entropialife.com/HelpCenter.aspx
Perhaps it isn't Entropia Tracker then that is causing the CTD. I'll give it a little more time to be certain the Entropia client doesn't continue to do it. If it does it again, then I will know it isn't the Tracker software.
I've noticed that starting Tracker when the client is already running sometimes causes problems. However, I am also not sure whether my experience is relevant, as I'm running XP. But it might be worth starting up ET first, then the client.
Well, I gave it a try to create a support case. I know this is belated, but I wanted to make sure what I said was true. Once I created the case with all the information like the first part of my dxdiag and description of the problem, I clicked Create Support Case, and then nothing happened. It never showed up under My Support Cases either. I don't know if there is something wrong with the site or what. Is there an email address like support@entropialife.com or something that I can send it to? Does anyone know? I was using Firefox, so the compatibility thing shouldn't have been an issue like it is on the forums with IE just to be sure. By the way, I always start the Tracker before I start the client. It starts on startup.
