yielded unexpected results. Glowed twice, first glow I got a 35 peds ASI-7 and used that for the rest of the hunt for all oros except for the prowler - stalker. I was wondering if anyone had some weapon and amp recommendations for hunting high maturity Oros. Also hunt a spot with a lot of Mutated Ostelok Young. ASI-7 seems a bit low on damage for high-maturity oro. I'm not too sure on a gun+amp, as I'm melee. Been using a Philosopher's Sword (and falcata as a finisher) for up to stalkers and it's been working great. A typical run for me will look something like: Expenses Weapons: 262 peds (4x Philo, 1x Falcata) Armor: 16 peds (Vigi + 2A) Fap: 0.50 peds (Gyro FAP-2 Smuggler) Total: 278.50 peds Returns Variable. Since late April, I've cycled 18.4k peds on high-maturity oro and have gotten back 18.2k back in tt value. That's 98.89% returns, not including any markup I've made on sold items. Individual hunts have ranged from 73% tt returns to 198%, though are typically in the 80-110% range. Evades have helped lower my defensive costs. I pay 3-5 peds less for armor/fap decay per hunt now (level 17.83 evader) than when I started (level 15.42 evader). My defensive costs make up 5-6% of total hunting costs per oro hunt now, compared to 6-7% in the beginning. If you can use it, I think an ASI-21 (~42.5 dmg/sec, depending on the model) may work well. Or perhaps an ASI-16 with a Rage-10 amp (40.83 dmg/sec) . But that's only my best guess based on them doing similar dps to a philo (41.1 dmg/sec).
I've mostly used ASI-7 guns I've looted thus far. I often use Soul mk.IV/V for oro prowlers and stalkers. I need to do a real logged hunt soon, I've been so lazy lately. I'll look more into the pistols you mentioned and the amp, thanks
