I've packed up my things from Caly, and preparing to set off to come play on Ark. I'm still low-level, only just maxed out the Opalo, but wanting to get started on missions again when I arrive.

Could someone please tell me the current state of the missions on Ark, and their current progression level? ie. on Caly, i believe it was Puny, Daki, Combibo, Argo..

Also, after reading a few posts on here, I understard that Celeste Outpost is the Ark equivalent of Neas or OLA42, is that correct? Also is there a main trading place on Ark, and whats the sweating economy like on Ark? I have been depositing, but just enjoy relaxing with a bit of sweating every so often, saves burning through ped constantly.

Anyway, thanks for the help that anyone can provide, I did start on Ark, but got talked into leaving for Caly, but back again now. Looking to stick around this time, if I can get to grips with everything I need to know :p

Apparently, after registering, I also cant view images attached to posts. Is this normal? (ie the HoF section)

Welcome to Arkadia, as for missions I believe this is the path I would recommend you:
    Carabok - Puny (10hp)
    Gallard - Puny (15hp)
    Ostelok (20hp)
    Halix (30hp)
    Jori (25hp)
    Feran (30hp)

after the new player arrival chain ofc, and it all depends on your skill level, ped level, fun level whatever else you might think of too :D

And yeah, Celeste Outpost is the TP where the group sweating occurs, and the trading hub is Celeste Quarry. Sweating economy is kinda like everywhere else hard to sell but if you stick to it you probably will sell some.

As for the pictures, looking into that now

Hi JimJones, it has to do with our anti-spam measures. New members are quite restricted on what they can do for the first 3-6 posts they make, but once you have made 3 you should be able to fully interact with pics and after 6 any URL you include in your posts will not cause it to get instantly auto modded.

Just persevere a little longer and you'll be fine ;)

I think you mis-understand. Im not attempting to POST any pictures. I'm attempting to view them from sections such as Hall Of Fame. Whilst NOT logged in, I can view the pictures (after clicking the text link) no problem. Now that i've registered on the forums, and logged in, I get the following message:

This occurs on every single image that I attempt to view. I understand there may be restrictions on posting images, but there shouldnt be any restrictions on viewing images, surely?

If you're currently a disciple, note that the Feran mission stage 3 (1200 kills, and of course 400 for stage 2 and 75 for stage 1 before that) gives Anatomy as reward. At your current level it may give a boost of 15+ % to the progress.

From a fellow newbie point of view....

    Missions:

Do the ones you get when you first start out...all of them. Gets you a couple of pieces of armor, an attachment for it, a couple of melee weapons, a hovercar, a FAP and a starting BLP pistol.

While I know you already have gear, free and useful is still better then nothing and a few extra PED in usage is a few extra PED. :fineprint:

I would start with the Gallard and Carabok missions which are pretty straight forward find the critter and kill the critter. Puny will work for the carabok but nothing else (there are lvl 0 Puny Nusul that DO NOT COUNT for the Nusul mission).

Outpost is a place you may get a swunt going, may not but, it has gallards and nusul (real ones). I am finding the Quarry is the place to be though.

Quarry is the "meet and greet trading outpost" with the official trading post being the IFN Supply Depot at specific times. You will pass through there in the training missions so be sure to get the TP for everyplace you go. (I know but it needed to be said, I missed it heh)

Quarry has alot of players hawking all kinds of things from rides in space to selling or buying sweat. It has gallards and puny carabok galore (so that you get an ocean of red dots outside it) so there shouldn't be too much hassle finding solo sweating and hunting targets.

Sweat selling runs from a low of 1.5 PED per 1k to a high of 2.5 PED per 1k, depending on who you find buying and how long you want to wait around. A good, solid and fair price is 2 PED per 1k. But be prepared to wait for days and maybe a week to get it. Sometimes you won't wait an hour at that price, sometimes its 7 days, from my experience. It's like most other things, being at the right place at the right time is everything.

Personally, I find more people are willing to sell at 1.8 PED per 1k just to get it out of their hands and make someone else wait for that other .2 PED but, your mileage may vary....:dribble:

And as always, don't TT anything but ammo you don't use for your weapon (Weapon Cells I think if you use an Opalo I think). I wouldn't even TT the explosive rounds. You can get 101% on them and 1% is still more then 0% heh.

    Good luck!

I've actually just completed my mentorship, and as i originally started on Ark a couple of weeks ago, i received the Musca Adj armor, as well as the standard Adj Pixie set and Explorer Mk1, wasnt expecting 2 armor sets, but no complaints here lol.

I'm interested in the Arkadia instances, can someone give me a guideline on DPS required to complete each key? (solo and team)

Check out this thread. Key 01-02 should be easy with opalo, I remember doing the key1 with Bukin's blade (6 dps).

All instances are for teams, but just having a team without anyone but you in it is enough to enter.

Thanks for the info on the instances. Tried a key 2 solo last night using Adj Musca and a Herman-LAW 6 Jungle with A101. Managed most of the instance pretty fine, apart from the last boss in there. Was hitting for 30 ish each time, and I just couldnt keep up the DPS on it as well as keep myself alive, as sadly i only had a herb box to rely on. Eventually had to call someone in to FAP me, and managed to slowly take the boss down. Made a loss on the run overall. But killed an hour and a half for about 14ped loss. So found it to be quite fun.

Completed Stage 3 Halix last night as well, only 2 mini-globals on them since I started killing them (been doing Provider - Stalker maturity), so well on my way with them.

I'm currently hanging out around Celeste Outpost, not seen much of a sweat team around there, have they moved since last I was there? (There always used to be at least 6 people hanging around in a team sweating when i was last here). And for a L0 mob, Gallard are extremely difficult to get a successful sweat attempt on, even without being hit. Of course, im comparing this to sweating L1 punies at Camp Icarus on Calypso.

Overall, good start so far, had some fun in an instance, died many times, enjoying the difference in scenery. Still looking for a sweat buyer though if anyone is interested. Nothing stored atm, but when I do, I'd like to get a regular buyer lined up :)
