Yeah...now I am racking my brain if I had TT'd some of these ingredients recently! I had a big stack of Mulica...hmmm....
I like this quest a lot. It gave me reason to try out different mobs and work on some of the kill missions I haven't touched before, just to loot the materials. I'm sure I'll also feel great about having the armor after couple of weeks (probably only days if I get good loot of yellow paint, I cycled over 1k ped to get damn 21 cans so far, lol) of grinding to get it. Hopefully there will be more such quests in the future with useful gear for reward. I don't like that mats' TT is higher than item TT. I don't see a reason to b*tch about the stuff being untradeable though. At least I won't quick-sell it below MU to get fast ped and remain gearless. Also, don't see why anyone should mind it as long as nobody forces them to get a set. Now that I think of it, why would such quests render older tradeable gear MU-less or flood the market? Some items might lose some MU, but if one pays extra TT for this kind of gear and it's untradeable, some people will not get it or will opt for cheaper (or same priced) tradeable alternative.
The quest is great, I love that there are more uses for previously sparsly traded items. But, No-Drop, untradable items have ruined the economy and fun for me in a few games in the past. Part of what attracted me to this game was that just about everything, including your skills, could be traded. I think restricting the ability of people to trade items in this game is silly, and not allowing you to TT the items is just flat out wrong. For all of the supporters though, why is the quest so much better because the items are untradable than it would be if you could trade the reward to someone else?
As a crafter of armour, it's better for me because it limits the impact on my business. No one is going to be farming these and flooding the market with flow on impact on the pricing of other armour. As a hunter it's no better. I understand David's point about it being a kind of badge of achievement to do all the mission stages to obtain the armour but I am not sure if that flies, since you can take the choice to buy all the required ingredients. Personally, I think it would be good to allow the option of TTing the armour, if only to alleviate people's concern. Regards, KikkiJikki
Ye well we had a lot of complaints about people buying up certain perseus armor parts from the broker and reselling them, and everyone was asking for the items from brokers to be bound to the avatar to prevent the farming of the armor pieces. Now we get that and people complain ??? I agree with KJ tho perhaps just make them tt-able, unless the mechanic to bound an item to the avatar does not allow for this?
What majority of the players that objects about this is concerned about is probably not this armor set, but now when the precedence is set, what will we get next? And not only from Arkadia Studios but from every Planet Partner (PP) in the Universe. A lot of people complained yes, but also a lot of people objecting to bounded items most likely by what I wrote above.
I approve of armor binding (good idea), but did not approve of the inability to put in the TT with the money return.
the armor looks awesome and i'd definately buy a set, and i agree with the bound-to-avatar thing BUT ... at least i want to be able to TT it if at some point i won't ever need the armor anymore. so PLEASE make it tradeable to TT !!!! thank you!
One thing that may be important to remember is that a non-vanity (i.e. Skull Candy) version will be released when this version become unavailable in a few months. For people who are concerned about encroaching player-locked items it sounds like they are targeted towards "Vanity" equipment ( like hair cuts ) that don't really have an impact on your in-game activities. I personally think that's a great idea, and I'm here just because of the challenge / difficulty in playing the economic games. In principle I do think any player-locked item should be TT-able though - of course anything other than armor would work with a TT value of under 1 Ped. . . .
Yeah best bet is to get some of the storage pots/vases/urns you can get to store spare armour/bits n pieces, as your storage has no weight limit, get 5 or so big pots that take 130 pieces then you can rack up quite a decent amount of items in ya storage. Literally thousands if you wish. You can also have a pot inside a pot inside a pot inside a pot.
Its not a bug that the armor is non-tradable and player bound. Not sure if you mean something else? Just to be sure, player bound items can only be disposed off in TT and not sold for PED and is how player bound items function in the system. This is due to it sharing the system used for NPE rewards and intended to stop PED farming in NPE missions.
so you saying it is possible to sell them to TT. so if i drop the fully repaired set in TT i will get back 400 ped right? great news if so
No he is not saying that. You can sell them to TT for 0.00 ped. Just like the training gear and the starter hoverpod.
oh ok got, ty for clearing this for me. i guess i'll skip the mission then can't afford to give away ~600 ped and later (for sure) if i get better gear ill tt it for 0 ped. this just doesn't seem right to me at all at least i should get back the TT. but, oh well.
suggestion. The armor cant be TT for peds because of shared system. Give bill a second mission of "cash in full TT armor set" that person can toss in a full TT armor set and he gives peds of some kind of craft materials or residues or whatever. Problem solved and I doubt hardly anyone would use it anyhow heheh
Nonetheless, this offer to buy (not gift or revard!) UL armor with no refund (even to TT!) caused confusion among all my friends. They said that the best way buy Gremlin. Similar stats, similar price. My opinion - A-Team may create L-armor with the better stats, than Viceroy, bounded to avatars, this may be better This idea I have expressed in the theme about Perseus
