Since others have voiced their concerns about pvp I will add mine.

I'm really disappointed with the new pvp areas in arkadia. One of the things i like about arkadia is the good nature of most people. pvp generally brings out the worst in people. And to top it off, being a non pvp player, meant arkadia offered something different to other planets. There is no need for all planets to have all the same options, it makes them copies from each other, and not new experiences.

Also what is it with the new 'iron missions', would it hurt that much to introduce a storyline mission once every 2 years?

Other changes are good though, but come on dave/cyrus, don't be afraid to be different!

edit: Also what is with the oil pump in pvp? People can hardly get a sweat group together, and you want half the newcomers to stand in line for a few pec? If you ask me it's the wrong timing, and a silly copy/paste from caly/ark/cyrene.

    Hi Angle.

The Adjusted Musca is comparable to the Adjusted Pixi armor in stats and TT but a bit rearranged in the stats.

As for lootable PVP we have increased the amount of Land in the snow region to make up for the land being taken up by the contaminated zone. This area is required to get resources to drop that can only be dropped in contaminated zones.

On a further note the oil Rig in PVP will not pump oil directly after the update and will come online in the next few days. It takes some manual work after the update before it starts pumping. ill let you guys know as soon as it starts pumping.

I thought arkadia was all for interplanetary trading? Is it such a big deal we can't get pyrite on arkadia? We can get it from other planets, just as we can export guns from arkadia to those planets. Do you really want all planets to be basically the same? I think i'm one of the most active enhancers crafters on this planet, and even I don't care that we can't find pyrite here.

I think a rounded up planet is better, it will help boost the economy, make it independent of imports from Calypso.

Having all the needed resources on the planet is a recipe for success, as people will stay longer or even settle on Arkadia permanently.

Planet Arkadia isn't going for the nice places to visit for the Calypso tourist that's different, but is probably focusing on the long term competitor to Calypso in order to have permanent colonists. If they bring in new colonists, they want em to stay on Arkadia, not run to Calypso because they can't find a gun or some damage enhancers at decent price.

Will the standard Viceroy armour also be non-tradable ? If not and if ALL stats (tt values, durability, protection stats) are really the same as the Skullcandy version, why would we try to get Skullcandy now ? :huh:No idea why you made the Skullcandy version non-tradeable, it's a nice armor imo but if you ever want to upgrade your armor, you are obliged to keep a fair amount of peds locked up in the Skullcandy for as long as you play EU...

Like idea of adding contaminated zone always one of my favorite area's.
The rush of being on one's gaurd constantly adds more fun and resources needed.

I hope not Slither....but just in case they decide to come here to the forum and cause trouble, I've polished the BanHammer ready for the occasion ;)

Not quite Duo. If you enter a Contaminated Zone (regardless of whether it is lootable PvP or just vanilla PvP) without taking the shot, you will die and revive back at the nearest Revive Terminal.

As new players, I would seriously advise you to steer well clear of the Lootable PvP area except to find it initially so it shows on your map for future. Its your choice whether you go to the vanilla PvP area (the one with the Oil Rig) but at least there you can have a bit of fun and not lose your hard earnt stackables. That said, it's your choice one way or the other, but if you enter, don't complain that you haven't had ample warning! :fineprint:

As for the SkullCandy armour...that looks very nice. Interesting idea that it is locked to your account....Wonder why that came about? Then again, it is Unlimited and looking at the stats, quite a nice mid-range armour....something around Ghost/Gremlin if I'm not mistaken? Will make a very nice addition to my collection anyway :D

Now, I wonder what I have to do to get a set of it....guess I'm going to have to make time tomorrow to find out! My brother might have to walk home from the airport ;) Sorry Stu!

I guarantee that once pyrite can be mined here, we will have more people making enhancers, which is a good thing since the supply of enhancers here can be very limited. Arkadia needs to be well-rounded as siremi said. Right now transport through space is very easy but this will not always be the case and when MA cuts off secure space transport (most likely without warning the PPs, in classic MA style), the PPs that have a complete economy will be in a position to survive.

It all sounds kewl as long as these mutated mobs are not taking up every square meter of mining area like the barking merp on Rock tropia.. And again.. sadly.. no idea why this gets repeated.. PVP areas with exclusive mining...FAIL. Heres a clue people.. Space is not popular because this is a real money game.. no one is enthusiastic about getting robbed except Jan JR running Caly. Why would you add it to Arkadia unless you guys are slowly turning to the darkside to perpetuate feeding the same dirty dozen that have ALWAYS had things delivered to them on silver platters thru out EU's entire history. Crysis engine is easily hax'd n modded.. everyone with an xbox that pvp's knows the tricks.. They are and have been using them here to beat the system and MA refuses to go after them for doing so. They are stealing in more ways then just the PVP aspect of the game and some are using the same tricks in the non pvp parts to gain some advantage. This game is hard enough to support when you are doing great things with MA stabbing you in the back at every turn.. why would you go into the realm of perpetual fail like they do on Caly.. I love Arkadia but this is in my book a very wrong turn.

I agree with most I am unhappy to see PvP come to Arkadia. However there is a bright side.

Most PvP professionals are high level players who besides having high hunting skills also craft and mine. They will need to settle here to fight and control the rig. They will need supplies. That will encourage the miners and crafters to come here (or people to begin crafting more) to meet the demands for this new market. So I think this is a positive step in developing the Arkadian economy. Let us hope anyway.
