Most likely your buyout is too high. My batches always sell (unless the price goes down low for more than a week, which doesn't happen that often with ospra).
the question to ask is who are the buyers of ospra and where are they likely to craft with it, i think most ospra is used in welding wire, this uses lyst which is cheapest on calypso, alternative ore from rocktropia, which is probably sold on calypso auction, and ospra. i dont think you see much alternative ore on arkadia auction so someone would have to fly from arkadia with your ospra to craft with it. to cut a long story short, list the ospra on calypso auction with a reasonable buyout and you should have no problem selling it.
That's true, almost no welding wire is made on Ark (or at least the crafters that do, import their own alt ingot), so to tap into that market you'll have to export it to Caly (the upside is MU is usually 2 or 3% higher on Caly). There are a few other uses for ospra, in components and some other BPs, pretty common, actually, and most of those are going to be crafted on Ark. It's an abundant shallow ore, meaning there's no shortage of it here. And low TT meaning that most crafters aren't going to be using hundreds of peds at a time if they need to make a run of components. So even though quite a bit is used here, it can be easier to sell, (especially large quantities) for welding wire crafting on Caly.
thats a good question. today i need around 2k. but im not crafting every day same amount. some days not and some times biger batches like now (2k clicks welding wire). but if i should stretch it on a base-level i would say 200 ingots per day regularly. If you check arkadian auction you get small stacks of alternative almost for same price on ark (+3-+5%) then on calypso. and welding wire are crafted in commercial with (L) bp's , which are hard to get in large amounts for a reasonable price. So i'd say the chances people craft ww's on ark are quite high. i craft mine ONLY on ark The demand is caused by the in orbit stationed Reapir ships like Kronan,Bismark and often the XXIV not to low and the competition is tiny bit lower then on calypso. but the quantity of Ospra which is used in welding wires is pretty low if you look on the TT-value. greets RedEye
