At the end of May 2010 I started my Entropia Universe experience after fleeing the toxic play environment of Evony. I had been running an alliance in Evony and some of my team were members of the Universal Born Looters society here in EU and had told me a little about the game. When I landed on Calypso, someone took me to swamp camp, then located at the lake NE of Port Atlantis and I tried sweating, lasting 3 days before depositing, buying a gun and some ammo and going hunting. Once I met up with the guys from UBL, things got a lot better. Can't emphasize enough the value of friendly advice from experienced players. Some of my memorable early experiences included: - running from a ravenous exarosaur. It was so big it had to be tough right? - coming across a cute molisk that I thought would be easy pickings. oh boy... - wandering around Calypso gathering TPs and learning how to avoid the aggro mobs Most of my time here in EU I have been focusing on hunting. In the 3 years playing I have managed: 210 K skills 172 hp highest profession lvl 63 laser pistol 3 uber loots - 5k riptor, 3k beladoth, 1k daikiba. 3 Merry Mayhem top 30 finishes 4th place in Arkadian "Curb the Oratan Food Supply" event (Huon\Yuka division) 6th place in Arkadian "Riptor Rampage" 2 10k Iron Missions completed. Once I found out about WOF I made sure to join the Aussie team and have been in the support team for the last two years and have met lots of players this way. Maybe next time I will make main team... When Arkadia launched, I traveled there in the first few days and found I really like it, especially the huons. I started crafting to help stimulate demand for local loot but found it was very difficult to sell on auction and so decided to wait for shops to launch, accumulating bps in readiness. Six months later I a bought a booth and launched KikkiJikki Crafting. Eighteen months later I have 4 shops selling weapons, armour, attachments, faps, enhancers, around 300K peds in sales and my highest crafting level is Laser Weapons Engineer 25. Keeping shops stocked can be quite demanding of my time and does cut into my hunting but I'm finding the challenge of building a business to be very stimulating. These days, while most of my time is spent on Arkadia, I still travel regularly to Caly for shopping, events and missions. I liked the look of Cyrene during soft launch and anticipate spending more time there once they get it up and running properly. As far as I am concerned, the future looks bright for EU. There are aspects that piss me off from time to time but mostly I am having a ball and it feels like the player base is growing both on Arkadia and Caly. I can only hope that RT continues to get its economy online and that Cyrene progresses to full launch sooner rather than later. And then there is Toulan to look forward to. I have every reason to expect I will still be playing three years from now. How many mmo's can you say that about?
Congratulations mate. Been great having you around Arkadia, you are both a credit to the community and a genuine pillar of the same. Here's hoping that with more people like yourself and the other wonderful people we already have, that we can together grow Arkadia into THE shining example of what a planet should be in this universe of ours. Awesomecakes !! Good to have you around 3 years mateh ! I love how much you've done in that short time ^^; I've buggered around a lot doing pointless and painstaking quests... and pointless and painstaking globals on mobs not needed to global on =P I've also had a lot of fun though and soon to be "Medium" player, which you achieved a while ago. Medium for me is 150 health, 150k skills, 20 paramedic, 25 evade, 50 hit and 45 dam. Hope to see you still kicking arse for the next 3 years (at least!)
Happy Belated anniversary Kikki. I know we but heads on occasion over things but still good to be able to chat and discuss various things with you. You have learned a lot about EU and have more then proven yourself to be a good part of the community here. Good to see you last this long and hope yer here for much longer.
