Calling all Arkadia Colonists!!!

I challenge the Arkadia Community to post a brief 1-2 paragraph back story about why your avatar will be headed to the new planet. What sort of skills and abilities will you bring to the new world? Do you hunt? Mine? Craft? Trade? What do you hope to achieve?

Chrome is originally an orphan from Zychion Citadel, the desolate ruins of a once-proud city on the Planet Calypso. From a young age, fighting for survival has been a constant part of existence. After several years of honing combat skills hunting on Calypso, Chrome has made the decision to volunteer as a VTOL Recon Pilot for the dangerous SS Division (Solo Scout) of AIM, the Arkadia Interplanetary Militia.


Chrome is looking forward to exploring a vast new world, and assisting new Arkadian colonists.

 

The Warpath Log

James Warpath Proudstar

James Warpath Proudstar was born and raised in the former earth convict colony of Australia. He sought a position on the GloryHound in an attempt to flee into space and avoid the numerous civil cases for child support which angry former lovers had filed against him. He at once gelled with the motley crew of the GloryHound Irregulars and found common ground in their twisted humour and sick jokes. He seemed naturally suited to his position as ship gunner.

Once arriving on Calypso Warpath developed an interest in hunting and began taking long trips into the wilderness, only returning for heavy drinking sessions with his crew mates. It was during one of these legendary drinking sessions a heavily intoxicated and randy Warpath (according to the tales) wandered into a heavy spawn of Maffoids and did what Warpath does, leading to the creation of the old Calamusoid scourge in PVP 1.

He has always had a dislike of robots (except for Slasha’s treasured fek-bot) and proudly defended his newly adopted home when the need arrived. He is fearless facing foes and will happily die in a battle as he enjoys the glory of death in combat and the erotic tingle of resurrection.

Eventually it was time for Warpath to move on and through guidence of some new friends he found a home in the Dark Knight - Squires and once again Warpath had found a group of people with the unique ability to tollerate his presence for extended periods of time. When Ozi of Dark Knights announced the discoveries linked to planet Arkadia Warpath quickly signed on for the chance explore a new world and kill all it's wildlife.

Warpath has everything locked an loaded awaiting deployment to the new world.

 

Max Erdes Jino

Grow up on earth, parents died on a shuttle accident at the age of 3 so he was raised by his uncle who was a war veteran from Calypso. All his life he heard the stories of the battles and heroics, and always dreamed to go one day to Calypso.
At the Age of 22 his uncle died, so he felt he got nothing left anymore on earth and took the first spaceship that went to calypso.
At the new planet he quickly adapted and found out the he mostly loves exploring, crafting and meeting new people. After several month on Calypso, he feels he needs a new adventure, a new place to explore and discover new and exiting stuff. When he heard on the Interplanetary news about the discovering of the new planet Arkadia, he knew right away that its he's new destination.
Now that he sold his properties on Calypso he is ready for the new planet.

Nahtanos Nahtanos Amatre

Nahtanos was raised by his mother (who colored and textured fabric) and father(an armor craftsman) in Cape Corinth.

Even at a young age Nahtanos always had a knack for getting himself into trouble...he was easily distracted and almost always late, he never respected authority, and wanted nothing to do with rules, and quite often he would slip beyond the safe confines of Cape Corinth to explore...

He learned a lot watching hunters and miners while out exploring and learned much about crafting from his parents...at a fairly young age he struck out on his own and learned to fend for himself...many times Nahtanos has gotten into places he couldn't get out of on his own ...and if it weren't for the help of friends and his "shiny" mentor he would of never made it this far...

Nearly two years ago when the War Titan Typhon impacted Calypso, Nahtanos was entirely too close to the impact, and was struck by some debris, which caused long term amnesia...since then he has been a vagabond, wandering from town to town trying to find himself...or at least someone who recognized him...

A couple of weeks ago he wandered into the wrong area and was torn to shreds by a vicious Atrox Provider...during the resurrection process his memory was restored to the point of remembering his past...but now he's unable to recall the last two years...He reconnected with old friends and has become a bit more cautious in his endeavors...afraid to lose more of his memory...or his friends with it...

Now hearing about this strange new planet Arkadia, and knowing Calypso has few mysteries left for him to explore, Nahtanos is shaking with excitement and ready to explore! He plans to hunt, mine, craft, trade, and treasure hunt... and maybe, just maybe if he finds something truly amazing it might be named after him! ^_-

Raven Raven Valicur

Raven is a miner and hunter by trade and past event creator who will make a go at events once more.

Raven is a runaway child from earth who escape to a new world in order to avoid the authorities. He is wanted for a crime he did not commit and has been on the run since 2005. Raven has built his life around the wonderful community on calypso in order to hide himself and blend in. Over the last 6 years, the authorities have caught wind on Raven's whereabouts and are in route to calypso. It is time for Raven to pick up and move on to a new home where he can build fresh and surround himself again in a new community. This time however he is escaping to a newly discovered planet where he can build up fresh and new along with the rest of the community to truly blend in. This new change should make raven almost undetectable... Time will tell =)

 

Nor Alien Euqcab

An avid adventurer with a thirst for new frontiers and technologies, Alien spent most of his life pushing the envelope to the absolute edge. With a background in electronics and lust for space, his early years where vi'vaciously en'grossed in repairing and upgrading deralict space craft to infiltrate the boundaries of space travel. When the oppertunity to explore the Universe was presented, there was no looking back.

Now forging a new life in the vast universe with explorations of Calypso, Rocktropia, and Next Island firmly under his belt, he has been told a grand new story. A place of majestic dreams, alien technology, and oppertunities that has rekindled his passion for exploration. This story has a name. It's name is Arkadia!!

It was 6 years ago (April 2nd) when MindStar9 (aka MS9) was offered an opportunity to leave Earth as an independent journalist and report on the expansion of space in the Entropia Universe. This independent assignment has now grown into a collective effort with an exceptional media team at the EntropiaPlanets Media Center where coverage is provided for all aligning planets in our EU solar system.

MS9 has reported on the expansion and growth of Calypso for over 5-1/2 years, with a focus on what she considers to be the most important key element of all ... the community. She has done this via picture storytelling, front page articles at multiple forums, and her own Who's Who series that presented player, couple, and society profiles. She has also been an EntropiaTimes magazine staff member since its launch in September 2010 contributing articles and VIP interviews.

While media is certainly her niche, she has experience in many of the professions offered, such as hunting, which was her primary activity outside of media work from the beginning, but branched off into mining, and later into crafting. As a mid-level player, she has some respectable skills that afford her adventures beyond her media office.

On July 8, 2009 ... MS9 gave birth to her own radio station ... MindStar Radio (MSR) ... and while there were a couple of breaks, the radio currently operates 24/7 and provides an eclectic jukebox which is hosted by the EntropiaPlanets Radio server. Live broadcasts and event coverage are only part of the services offered.

MS9 will join many others on planet Arkadia at the point it has completed its alignment in our EU solar system. Upon arrival, she will establish a satellite media location where all production relative to Arkadia will take place.

The future looks brighter, and MS9's media coverage will showcase all that is planet Arkadia ... from the environment, to the creatures, and the rebuilding of ruined cities, but most importantly ... the Arkadian citizens and community who will continue to contribute to the growth and further development of Arkadia.

This is pretty much the uniform of the day for MS9, but adds foot guards when needed. Since photo shoots can take place just about anywhere, she must be prepared to at least be somewhat protected. Although, it is not uncommon for her to have body guards during more dangerous media activities, especially if they may take place in a PvP zone.

Long story short, it was all about the sweating and mindforce: Back in summer 2005 Hyssch got capped on sweating, then those clever scientists were able to raise the cap once more, then Hyssch got capped again, but then the cap was lifted once and for all...

As we all remember, when You got capped, there was this warning that You've gotten "too attuned" with the universe etc. Well, Hyssch must've done way too much sweating, for some year ago there was a bad accident with the restreaming technology not workin properly. Scientists explained that it had to do something with too many sudden deaths while sweating (green-streaming) and being revived while he was still in MF mode and that's what messed up the revival-terminals restreaming technology. He was not quite dead, but not fully restreamed either. Scientists were able to resque him and restore this "half-dead-state" in so called electronic stasis and it took some year before he was able to returne to PE... only to find out, that his previous ava "Caspar Hyssch De La Nuit" was gone. So were all his skills. No choice other than start a new fresh ava with resetted skills.

So, now Hyssch is getting some basic training in hunting, mining etc. while waiting for Arkadia to get online Oh.. and yes, NO sweating this time around!! Doctors orders!

Left behind in the wilderness of Calypso as a child by his uncle Dr. Zachery Smith with only a few robot parts, Xavior technosplurg survived by sweating mobs and grabbing oil from a oil rig in the desert. Often getting shot in the process of getting the oil he ultimatly took on the middle name 'Target'. Often joining with groups of other colonists on hunts of the mutant argonauts and the ferocious Atrox, Target has gathered a store of resources he hopes to take to finance an adventure to a new world.

 

Smoerble came to Calypso just a few years ago, because the press said, you can make a lot of cash there.

It turned out, that this was not the case... even after a slow start, she struggled a lot because of the thiefs and skammers.

When Smo decided to leave the planet, she met the first time ever a helpful player and this turned everything around. After a few months some mid level investments were done and when the shopping malls opened, she invested some serious money into Calypso, mainly to trade with mid and high level items.

A lot beginners know Smoerble because she helps in a lot different ways (like explaining, buying sweat overpriced, giving out jobs), currently a lot of time she spends to create more tutorial videos to give new players a more easy start than she had in the first month.

 

Born Corrine Luise Bowen on a now desolate planet called earth, "Trina" as she is now called
was your typical rebellious teenager who was into music and the party scene. After many years
and mounting troubles do to the life of many trippy colors she decided it was time to find a
new path in life.

Wanting a fresh start she had enlisted in the world Navy that was formed when all earthbound
governments united to protect the human species from the massive attacks from the robots that
have evolved and come back to destroy their makers. She had to learn many new skills and do
many many new tasks in many new places never done nor seen by her before. She grew up hard
and fast and gained a likeing to the travel and new destinations regularly forced upon her.

So now the offer to go to Calypso as a colonist when Earth was in its final time for mankind
she jumped at the chance to explore the strange and dangerous Calypso. By using the skills
she learned in her miltary time she managed to carve out a place on Calypso and make her way
day to day with minimal problems. But that was the problem in itself..She was just making her
way.

With not much more left to explore on Calypso she made a short run to a new place called
Rocktropia remebering her wild days as a wasted musician and feeling a small pang to relive
that feeling once again. Time passed slowly with not much to really keep her amused there as
her new life had washed the taste of the party scene from her forever she returened to
Calypso and the montany she had become all to familar with.

Now word of access to a new planet called Arkadia has once again spurred her interest in
exploration. The start of a new life would mean a fresh start in everything on an
unexplored undocumented planet so a new name was in order. Changing her name from Corrine
Bowen she became Corrianna "Trina" Xenophage and set off with Fleet Arkadia to new and
exciting life.

 

I first heard of the Project known as Entropia around 2003 and instantly felt that THIS was something I wanted to try. However, circumstances made that not possible at the moment. In 2006 however, things had changed and I started my jurney in EU as I was dropped confused, crious and all to eager in PA. My favourite activity was and is to explore, lately in the context of missions.

Now I get that same feeling about Arkadia.

My biggest excitement/fear is will I move permanently? I look forward to dive into this new world.

Kira Star-Rigger.

Commonly known as "Red", not for the colour of her hair, but rather her temperament. Prone to spurious, dogmatic tirades and erratic behaviour. Possibly mad. Born to indentured corporate miners on Mars, she was exiled to Calypso almost eight years ago. Her considerable list of alleged offences against various Calypsonian institutions, laboratories, and military facilities has left her name permanently etched on federal watch lists. Generally considered persona non grata; amongst most business, political, and social factions. She currently claims sanctuary on religious grounds and is known to be sheltered by the Shaolin Monastery.

Miss. Star-Rigger is not known to hold any standard profession, although she has had considerable experience with starships and with various applied science disciplines. As her presence has been confirmed on all existing planetary systems to date and at various times, it is almost certain she is currently in possession of an interplanetary/interstellar vessel.

She generally avoids large crowds and is usually seen alone - often in the wilderness. Shunning a common fashion and common sense, she is usually unarmoured. Although she is known to carry a light plasma pistol, she detests firearms and their proliferation, preferring the cruel and vicious use of primitive pointed and edged objects.

If found, it is advised not to approach her and to immediately report her location to Planetary Law Enforcement. Although seemingly charming in certain situations, she should be considered unstable, unpredictable, and beyond rehabilitation.

Reports have placed the likelihood of her travel to Arkadia as "almost certain and imminent".

 

Miguel Migi Nykvist

Once a dreamer of a universe plenty of riches, "Migi" arrived in Calypso a few years ago, with nothing but the ragged clothes the revival cientists were kind to supply him with, after some ups and downs in the mining profession of choice, Migi travelled to a famous high "profit" asteroid and recently hit a nice oil rig, supposedly left unwatched for by BP oil, so he claimed as his own, looking for new ways to gain unimaginable richness and fame, Migi is at this moment sorting his closet and packing for the trip to Arkadia.

Deemers DMApple Everiena



When you ask why Deemers came to Arkadia, he sits down and begins to talk about himself. Not born on Calypso, Deemers was from the "Old World", part of the Empire's core interplanetary systems, although not specifying which one he was from. He came with a group of travellers to Calypso, and they together worked to see Calypso as it was. It became a home for Deemers for a while, but when the destruction of Hadesheim came, he saw many of his friends fall. Calypso became to his eyes a frozen coffin, and despite trying to return to Calypso when the ice age had melted away, he seemed restless, never in any place too long.

Eventually, the announcement of one of the local planets came up highlighting the terraforming process and initial outposts were open for colonisation on planet Arkadia. He packed his things, and headed out to join the new colonists, looking for a new life. When you ask Deemers about the previous people he worked with, a painful expression appears on his face, and you drop the subject.

 

Joseph "Joe" Brazil

Brought to Calypso by my father and 2 older brothers before the Destruction, hid deep while Calypso was razed and reborn anew.
After searching for many years all over Calypso to find my missing family, I decided it was time to live my own life, and set out in small ship to find my own way in the universe. After exploring several possible colonies, I finally found and landed on Arkadia. Upon seeing the sun rise up over the edge of the world while on approach, I decided then and there that I had found my new home.

So now I do my best to make my way in the world Hunting, with some mining. Occasionally I even have to make some things myself that I need if I can't buy them for whatever reason. Became a very minor landowner, after scrimping and saving to buy some deeds to the exciting Underground area. When IFN asked for volunteers to help defend the planet, I signed up, and finished my recruit training with all deliberate speed before being assigned to the frigid Indomitable Firebase as a Private in the IFN. So now I'm doing my best, as a IFN private, and hunter/miner to make the world a better place, One dead Oratan at a time!
