    Hi,

I have a question about the Arkadian DNA.

If i buy an Arkadian LA and place an Arkadian DNA on my land, what will then happen to the natural spawn of that mob.

Or in another way. If I should be a Land owner and place an Arkadian DNA (ie Yuka), I expect that the natural spawn of this mob will be reduced a lot or maybe even closed down.

Can you give me and other an answer for that.

    Kindly
    Yq

    Seriously?

    Has that happened on Caly?

If not then they can only sell those LA for mining purpose

On Calypso there is usually one or more wild untaxed hunting areas for creatures, although these are sometimes poor quality, and sometimes there are gaps in the maturity coverage.

Generally the wild spawns don't change much although VU10 may have shuffled things around and made some changes on Calypso.
There have also been instances of Calypso adding DNA to Land Grab areas that directly compete with Outback Land Areas, which with the most recent iteration of Land Grab makes life quite difficult for the affected OLA owner.

I don't know how Arkadia plans to handle the situation however if at the time the DNA is placed in an area all the existing, good quality, natural spawns remain then I would not expect them to suddenly change.

The reverse is also true - if there were gaps in the market when the DNA was installed you would not expect Arkadia to fill those gaps in with wild spawns at a later date.

Well, that's an interesting question. The answer would be no. It would be up to you to set the spawn rate and mob lvl along with events to get people to come to your LA over the other non-taxed areas as they do on other planets. The main reason for LA mobs is for people who need a high concentration of mobs to complete missions and/or mobs that are very known to be looting well. And yes, events are very important as well. LA are not good for just normal spawns and forget about it in hopes to get fast money.

That would be nice from the land area owner's perspective but seriously... we have 6 of these islands coming, that's 36 different mobs that Arkadia could have to "remove" from Sentosa :). Well, the good thing is it would be a miner's paradise!

There are already "gaps" in the mob spectrum, as Deathifier mentioned. Large Zadul, Otorugi stalkers, medium halix, medium Nusul, as well as the Aakas mobs. And some mobs like Huon, Kadra, Scoria, Teladon would do well if the owner just sets a tax rate under 5%.

We will not be making changes to natural spawns of mobs as a response to them being spawned on an LA.

It's unfortunate (or is it?) that Ark Devs did such a good job in setting up the untaxed mob spawns. Mostly unmixed, good density. It's definitely going to be challenge to the landowners to make the taxed areas attractive to hunters. I think it will come down to either instance mobs or good events\competitions.

to be honest, the spawn of Yuka is pretty decent atm, the smaller ones are generally youngs with a few matures. Thinks like Kiana, Oweko, Korwil, Otorugi, Beladoth etc. is that for the "young" spawns, its very very mixed, so you might go in ghost/5b for the youngs of Kiana and get hit for 1, great, but you get old or provider, you spend a lot of time fapping. Its not too bad, keep fapskills up is integral but... if someone could provide a 100% young spawn with good density of Kiana, for example, with decent tax, 3.99% or below, then I think people would indeed use it as they wouldn't have to worry about bumping into providers every 5 minutes, any repops will be young and they can go nuts.

I think there's a lot of potential for these LA's. I just wish I could bloody afford one, imagine that, desert island with LA and estate :O be like gaming paradise !

I think the new LA will work best with DNA for mob instances for example, like to be able to loot those animal parts needed for a lot of blueprints that can not be used at the moment, Ubo vesicle and magnug male parts...

Only mobd I think I will hunt on La that arent available now is Otorugi Prowler/Stalker spawn and maybe a medium Bela spawn Prov-Domi.

Other then that I don't see any gaps I would require someone to fill, Perhaps Riptor with only Prowler/Stalker and no domi-OA mixed in?

both the medium and big yuka spawn are very bad, I remember they used to be as dense as the young ones...
