I am glad to see that you guys care enough to put out some effort and make a good trailer, one that actually gets people intrigued and ready to explore your planet

 

Arkadia is the new calypso i have a feeling everyone will just pick up and leave for the new planet

 

Arkadia is not the new Calypso, Calypso's company is useless and only caters for a select few and dont care for the rest. As for the pick up and move to Arkadai I would not invest in Calypso any time soon again because most likely they wont make the next 2 years.

 

Really nice trailer. As people say, the production and especially the music definitely instill a sense of excitement and the "Whoa! I need to play THAT!" feeling.

That said though I think it can be topped

The music, titles and production were top rate, really can't imagine how they could have been better. Some of the scenes/shots really looked very cool for example: The Firebase with all the vehicles (love the jump out), the high up thing with the cogs? (looks amazing!), the mindforce shots, some of the snow areas, that flying over the water bit (great!), the chopper and quite a few of the scenes showing built up areas.

Some though I think could have been more creative (you can do a lot to make scenes look better in EU now by choosing the time of day... high noon often looks worst. eg the guy running over the bridge makes me think "oh..." but yeh I do see that this is part of a scene change montage. Some scenes seemed to really lack background vegetation etc so were an odd choice?

OK looking again I'd say the majority of the shots were good. I think there is a balance though maybe between looking good and looking accurate. You want people to go "hey that looks awesome" but also don't want them to be too disapointed by the first area they come across that seems a little "empty" (and we all know they will exist).

That said though from reading stuff I've got a pretty good idea of cyrus' schedule so considering that, this really is a fantastic job!

just finished watching the video while pausing to note details and noticed the globaled mining was a big (X???) Lysterium hit...interesting...^_-

 

Heya Wistrel, absolutely valid points here. I agree with you that some shots could definitely be better and like what I told Lee and Larkin, I'm not pleased with some of the shots myself. I've looked at it countless times and I know the flaws in the video. Thanks for being candid with me. I will bear the feedback in mind if I produce a similar video in the near future.

Yes, there will be Planet Arkadia specified minerals at launch.
