ooo so like yquem said if i ordered 20 points i would get 22 if i ordered 40 i would get 44 during this time
Looks like we better start working out where were need item points most. I've started setting up our new showroom at Sanctuary Cove in apartment 3-1 and with 19 mannequins I've already hit the limit....will need at least double if I'm to kit it out properly. *starts counting* Shame about the booths not being included.
All requests for additional item points currently only involves the interior of the estates (shops and apartments), which only loads when you enter them. We will manage each request on a case to case basis, so please be rest assured there won't be any sudden increase in lag.
I think the item points shouldn't make a difference in terms of lag / render time, if MindArk were to change their render streaming format. Even zoomed all the way out and if you have distance set for Very High, you can only see a certain amount of area on your screen at once, if something is not with 1.61 times the range around the radius of the rendered area it shouldn't key up, therefore a lot less lag, less objects being loaded / streamed onto the screen (into the display buffers of the card or embedded graphics processor and memory). What I have noticed is regardless of the distance something is away from you, if it's a NPC or user content item it's loaded and that's just sloppy coding (taking the easy way out), instead of context sensitive streaming. Something interesting to note regardless of the setting, the streaming from the hard disk and over the network connection is the exact same (assuming you have streaming audio disabled) when you are in Safe Mode and all the way up to Very High settings for your video and sound cards (or embedded devices). The only difference is the amount of processing being done for the items (objects) within that stream. I've had some ideas for MindArk to look into, I don't know if they're interested in ways to code anymore. It appears they're more interested in creating content than fixing bugs and getting a bit more creative with their coding practices but still keeping it clean.
