I never met BigDawg but it's clear that he was well loved in our community. SpaceGiraffe, my heartfelt condolences at what must be a horrible time for you. It seems Arkadia will sorely miss your husband.

I only spoke to him a few times and he was very sweet and nice guy.My heart goes out to his wife and family at such a truly sad time for them.

I did not know BigDawg, but I feel that I would have enjoyed his presence. R.I.P BigDawg, and my condolences to the family. It is always tough making it through the loss of a loved-one.

I echo what Tim said. Condolences to his family and friends, including those in VR, who can often become some of the best friends one ever has, as indicated by the response to this tragedy.

 

I've been out of game and away from the forums for a couple weeks tending to some medical needs of my wife. I log on this morning and learn that my friend, BigDawg has died. While there are friends in our little group in Mumble that knew him much better than me, I'm deeply saddened by his passing and will greatly miss him. My sincerest condolences go out to SpaceGiraffe and both their families.

 

Dam... Reading 32 posts here I was still hoping ya'll speak about the ingame avatar, not about Dawg in real life. 32 posts later I'm really pissed. ~ speechless ~

 

Bigdawg was a very kind person he was a lot of fun.I actually smiled when I saw his avatar.He did talk about his family and I knew that he was a nice person.....Space Giraffe my sincere condolences to you and your family.....

BigDawg, I'm sure you've made it into the higher realms. You're looking down at us, peacefully, wishing we weren't mourning the end of your time here.

When I first started EU this summer, BigDawg helped me out with advice and always bought some of my loot at MU. I got a little closer to him this past Nov, as we chatted a few more times ( and joked about pulling an April Fools prank on RJ ). I hadn't seen him at all in Dec, or January, and wondered why...

My condolences SpaceGiraffe... We've never spoken, but I wish you peace and happiness and a gentle recovery from this trying time...

 

My condolences and LOVE-power to his family..

 

I was BigDawg's Mentor, and I got to know and love him and SpaceGiraffe from day 1 of their in-game life. We have lost a truly generous, caring, and wonderful person. My heart is broken for SpaceGiraffe as she endures and continues on without him.

This world is truly a virtual community, with friendships that are deep and ongoing... A sudden event like this gives me, and I am sure others, a new perspective on our online life.

So... to my friend BigDawg, a final emote /wave as you depart. You will not be forgotten!
