I don't want attribute tokens in mission rewards! (I want choice like on Calypso)

    Hello everybody :)

I'm new to Arkadia, got encouraged with the riptor event. And I saw all the massively dense spawns of high hp mobs, looking so tasty I couldn't help but to drool ;). And they all have missions ^^. Only discouragement is that I really don't want the attribute tokens, which presence means there's less skill reward. On Calypso one can choose between tokens + skill or no tokens and more skill. It would be totally awesome if to all the Arkadia mission rewards were added additional choices with no attribute tokens. My head hurts from planning all the mayhem I could cause there, but I'm strongly tied to Calypso, where skilling is faster. It would definitely be advantageous for Arkadia to give players additional options like this, especially that there's plenty of players who completely neglect attribute tokens and go for pure skill reward after the mission system was nerfed. I'm sure that would attract more heavy hunters who like to farm skills.

So if you agree with this, then shout here with me! :D. Don't hesitate and let your voice be heard - the more of us, the more likely this change will happen.

Just one question, why do you say skilling is faster on Calypso? Surely it should be uniform throughout the universe?

He may be referring to the fact that Calypso mission rewards give a large boost to 1-3 specific skills throughout the entire mission chain. So you can pick and choose which missions to complete based on which skills you want. Want Athletics? Do the Feffoid mission.

I enjoy hunting on Arkadia much more, but I still prefer the cohesive mission rewards of Calypso.

and I prefer the way Ark have done it, that they don't value the skills like Caly does. And want more skill? then buy it, it's essentially the same as doing missions

Skillgain is not uniform throughout the universe - on Calypso there are several mobs that give more skills per ped than others (e.g. spider, allo/esto). They also have missions.

But yes, I was referring to Calypso missions giving a specific skill throughout all the stages. This way I can concentrate on missions giving my desired skills as reward, and I get more of those because I can choose the option without tokens.

And buying skills being the same as doing the missions? It depends what mobs you go for and what setup you use. If you hunt smart and profit from it or at least break even, the skills from mission rewards are a free bonus.

    Hi Guys,

We are looking at giving an option between skill and attributes for future missions. We can unfortunately not change the current missions.

    Regards,
    Chris

Hehe ^^. I'd love to see a new high hp mob, 4-5k hp for young maturity, with courage as reward for final stage. But that's just me :).

They increased the damage, but young yukas are still easy. Would be nice if there was a tougher mob out there, with like 200 dmg for youngs. As long a its imp/cut/stab :D.

Chris, I can see we are on the same wavelength here. Can the new mob be a drop bear please? I have some visual designs all ready to go and we've already established hp and attacks so most of the work is already done.

Hardly the same. When you buy a skill, you get that skill, when you manually grind upto a certain lvl in a skill, you get all the other associated skills along with it. I'd rather spend the same amount of ped skilling manually, and get a lift to multiple skill sets then buying the skill. But, to each their own choices

sighlentz, you misunderstood me I guess, but skills as mission rewards is the same as buying a skill chip.
Not like you get all the skills that contribute to some profession with the missions rewards on any planet.
