Hi Guys, This is a short intro about myself and my role @ Arkadia studios. Manny of you may already know me and know that I now work for Arkadia studios if you listened in on the David interview on Normandie radio. I'm the Guy from South Africa he talked about. I used to be an Arkadia Adviser and my avatar was named Shiro Jackal Kitsune forum account was Fopsie. My role in Arkadia is to handle the technical back end of things like investigating how new systems work and implementing it. I also handle bug tracking and fixing of said bugs. I also handle deployment of content to the test environment. Another role is to handle computer errors in the studio and keep the artists computers up and going. My background is in programing and maintaining some major systems on the mines in South Africa. I understand just what you mean, but interestingly, we don't normally have a big dev roasting going on here, at least not from the regular Arkadia community, occasionally a few sure, but nothing like what goes on elsewhere thankfully. :whistle:Large VU like the one we just got maybe a few more things to look into than normal, but still, doesn't feel like burn the dev team to ground kind of crowd even with that. Wonder if that has anything to do with the quality of the content as well as the quality of the communication the Arkadia community have learned to love? Have no fear Chris, you are rockin it just as expected from the A Team
Its good to have former players become integrated in the company. The objectivity of being a former player brings better ingame decisions, which will benefit us all. The Arkadian development team have been excellent and will continue to do so. Cheers Bjorn
Welcome to the A Team. I will say I admire the courage it must have taken to up root yourself to move to a whole new country to do this. I wish you best of luck with the new gig as I am sure there will be times you will take some heat in that position.
