Hi Please post in this thread if you are actively using the Emissary App in Facebook. I see voting for the latest Apartment design competition is via the Emissary App. My concern is, who is actually using it? I tried it when it when it was released and it didn't work unless I allowed it to use my personal information, which I declined, hence didn't work. If no one is using this Emissary App, I wonder if the Dev team is better keeping voting for competitions in this forum? Cheers Bjorn
I'm anti-Facebook, so I will never ever ever have an account there. Ergo the Emissary app won't work for me. So I miss out on stuff. Oh well.
I'm signed up for it however I don't have much use for it and it doesn't get used very often. - Deathifier
I dont think i could have been more dissapointed with this app. I'm pretty sure they should have hired starfinder or someone else to make it and it would have been wayyyyy better. Honeslty it's just a spammer and nothing more. it's not fun it's not interesting it's complete crap. I could come up with probably 10 really good better ideas and things to do but i wont even bother because it's only going to fall on MA's deaf ears.
I use the app, but was expecting to see more content added weekly like they said - and no new content has been added since launch, which is indeed a bit sad. So would really enjoy seeing more and more content on there. In fact, if Arkadian team turn out to have the majority content in there and put a load of activity through, they could pretty much monopolise / commandeer the traffic and leverage a "free" resource there I think. No sure if PPs have limits on how often they can post / add content though? Anyway, happy to go do some voting there when it's available.
I don't mix my real life with EU, so that's a "I'm not" from me. I would prefer a Forum voting option instead.
I do have the app but don't use it. I have a separate profile for my avatar, RL profile is RL and more private, though it can be confusing when you know people ingame and in RL as well lol. Personally, I too would prefer some other easier for all to access voting method if public voting is used for such competitions, but there has already been tons of discussion on that subject, and I'm more in agreement with those who want to see the dev team itself actually be judges for official contests, or perhaps for forum contests, dev team and forum team. Though all human, that would reduce the possibility of things being popularity of an avatar (or spamming ability) based.
I have never had FB, but that answers my question of what this "Emissary" voting thing was. Hope it has nothing to do with how many FB "friends" you have otherwise that'll seem pretty BS to me... Although now that I think about it, how couldn't it be attached/linked to the amount of one's FB "friends"? I guess I am ferked... O well. Tippin'
Hey at least you have an account to HAVE friends IF they do it that way.. many of us wont touch face book with Marco's hands. If thats the case and a friends list on FB wins the contest. 1 friend on yer account and you win.
I have tried using the app but it's buggy and annoying. I'm quite disappointed with it overall, and even conceptually I'm not sure how it was meant to achieve anything. I think RexDameon makes a brilliant point. I'd be really excited to see what Starfinder could do with something like this.
Hi, Facebook? What? Where? Why? Guess I don't need to be there. Have friends already, real ones. Have fun!
