As you might now we, at EntropiaPlanets, are working hard on our Arkadia wiki page. http://www.entropiaplanets.com/wiki/Planet_Arkadia Now with Arkadia launching soon, that gives us a great opportunity to be 'the' wiki for Arkadia. This however means we need a lot of info very fast, so we are asking for help. If you are willing to help and know how a wiki works, please add as much stuff about anything you will encounter on Arkadia to the wiki. If you are willing to help and want to learn how a wiki works, feel free to try it or ask for help from me or anyone else by posting here or on the EP.com wiki forum If you are willing to help and don;t wanna know anything about a wiki, please post as much stuff you can find either here or on the EP.com wiki forum, so somebody else can add it to the wiki. This way we can add a lot of info very fast and can help new and old players to the much needed info. What do we need: Well everything basically, it is a new planet But to start with I think we definitely need: Locations of TP's and other interesting locations, with screenshots if possible Screenshots and stats from all creatures and the stuff they loot. All the new items we will encounter and there stats. I will be doing some preparations before the launch of Arkadia, to try to make it as easy as possible for people to help. Remember that there is always a backup IF you break anything in the wiki, so don;t be afraid to try, just be sure to tell us if you happen do break anything (send me a PM) so we can change it back. Once you get the hang of it it is not to hard to change stuff.
gl with challenging the Entropedia then. I think that should be quite possible seeing how slow they are working on that one. I will certainly share TP locations and mob names/stats as I find them. Most likely just here but maybe in the wiki(s) also if I see they aren't in there yet.
thanx XeroX. I will be going over the TP 'template' before the launch to make it as easy as possible to add stuff.
Hi guys, Thanks for this initiative. I'll be able to provide high resolution screenshots/pictures if you need them.
Cool, thanx Cyrus. I will be running around like mad after the launch to gather stuff, but I'm sure a few nice pictures would look real nice in the wiki. Any chance you can provide a good hi-res map of the planet when it launches (or sooner of course). No need for anything on there, finding that out is part of the fun, but having something to work with would be cool
I think a bunch of us would like a high res map. Personally, I'd love one to use as a base for my mining map and one to print out and hang on my wall.
Indeed Calin. What I have done with the Calypso one is scale it to 1:1 and put it in AutoCAD. This way the coords. from ingame match with the coords. in my AutoCAD and I can very easily add stuff in exactly the right location. it's how I made this one: http://www.deurloo.net/entropia/map/images/full/map_eudoria_TP.jpg Planning to do the same with Arkadia
Nice initiative Razer +rep Maybe since there's a treasure hunting aspect, you could add a page with the history of the best treasures found, what date, by who, and from what mob or location?
Of course Teiwaz. No worries, it'll be made public and you can download the map from the wiki as well if you'd like to.
Thanx, we'll need all the help we can get in order to add stuff fast Well we do not know yet how that is gonna work, but if anything like you say is needed I'll try to add it asap.
To be honest, Planet Arkadia really needs it's own Wiki with it's own theme. I have a feeling this planet is going to dominate, and having a top notch Wiki will increase it's traffic.
Entropedia is already a top notch wiki - planet selectable info and more tools than a builders work belt.
Would love to help out with info for the wiki...^^ have never added to one but I think I can figure it out! And can't wait to see Arkadia's map!! ^_^
I have been doing some preparations in the wiki, to make stuff a bit easier, feel free to go over there and try some stuff with fake mobs or something, just to see if you understand what needs to be done and to see if I missed anything.
