Crafting Crafting machine that has a VIEW Please :)

I am a huge crafter i do massive crafting runs.

I like to craft in celestel harbour and watch the other players in the city.

Its awesome you added some crafting machines outside, i really love that. but......

It would be awesome if you could place the crafting machines or just one, somewhere that we can craft and see something ( like a view of the whole city or tp area)

(yes i know we can turn the camera around) but this is not ideal when your standing there for 6 hours + at a time

How about a Crafting table in a city center?
Give it the appropriate look and feel for something you would construct at, but a low table in the center of activity that could be activated from any side would be pretty cool.
(for example in hell there are crafting anvils which you can look over when standing at. (not the right theme for Arkadia but just to demonstrate the idea))

Now thats a great idea. something that we can completely see over but i will be happy with anything that has a view and not a view of the wall lol

Here is an example of what I was talking about,

I think that you could even have different names for different designs of crafting tables,

Armor Construciton Table would have more hammers and heavy tools on it,
Weapons Construction Tables would have more intricate tools and vices mounted on them,
Tailoring Tables would have some cloth, scissors, needles, etc... on them...

You would be able to craft any print at any table, but they would give a feeling of purpose and variety to the world.

Maybe even have benches or stools at some of them that crafters could actually sit at while crafting.

Lol Narfi I love it I played another mmo called Aion, and that is pretty much what crafting in there had, and it was awesome fun, there was even an area for cooking bps (as there is healing and HP foods etc) that was hilarious, with what I called a 'Harry Potter' type stove going with pots and pans bouncing around etc. True, EU is more realistic and hopefully won't ever be that cartoony, but the overall idea I really like, spice up the visuals the crafters have to stare at. I think this maybe down to MA though, at least in part, devs can create the animated tables etc, but not sure they can script them like that inside the existing system, then again maybe they can, either way it gets my vote

 

That was one thing I actually DID like about Rocktropia in one area.. Chairs you could sit in were close enough to the crafting terminal you could sit down and still reach the terminal to craft.

 

Terminals can be anything... I remember seeing on RT, there's a radio, box and something else that are all different terminals. You could do this with a crafting table... have all the terminals right there on the table: TT, auction, crafter, storage, so they could all be accessed simultaneously. Mini-terminals. People could stand around the table and there would be plenty of room for all, and no need to move.

 

The idea reminds me of a pissoir/urinal that I used in South Africa. It had a wide window above and outside was a dam surrounded with 3 rhinos, some ostrichies, buffalos and other wild life. My best piss ever!

Just put a crafing macine on the overduct above the terminals at Celeste Quarry and problem will be solved. Maybe it's possible to access the crafting terminal from above?
