First of all thank you for organizing the event it was fun for some and not so fun for others. 1. Regirty was done on forum but made a hell of a confusion when people could suddenly sign up just before the event. So next time make a forum registry and advertise it actively not on the last day (can be wrong about advertisement since i'm not in the same time zone). 2. Heats need to be of the same size, 6; 9; x racers; all the racers that didn't race yet, that is not how equal ammount of people can advance. 3. Apparently vehicles and clothes make some people lag. So picking up vehicles at start is logically, and you can't really force people to unequip their stuff, but since that's only at start it's not such a problem. Officials watching racers around the track should be on foot or never get too close to the track itself to prevent lag. 4. Setting clear rules where racers can drive. No driving/jumping off from the curve to the track below, no cutting hairpins etc. It can be done way before by frapsing all possible allowed routes. it can even be custom made by cutting off part of the track to make a different route. 5. Punishment. People who cheat should be disqualified or punished in some other way (like 10+ seconds added to their time). There were 4 heats. first one started good but ended in an uproar when someone took a shortcut or was it a hairpin? Second was ok i think. 3rd had people cutting hairpins. The last heat in whichi was part of started very bad for 3 of us. Basically part of the blame is on the racers and part on the officials. Basically the coundown went 3 2.... and then 5 or so racers went ahead which lead them to have couple of seconds lead (they were already on/past the bridge) when the GO signalwas given. That is when the last 3 of us actually went. Needless to say nothing was done about that and we got ignored at the end. And since it happened at start, everybody saw, we could easily restart or give the people with headstart penalty to their race time. Which brings me to next point, in sprint they have a policy that 1 person can make a false start if the next time someone starts too eraily he/she is disqualified. And seriously, how hard can it be to wait for GO people? Yeah me and another person of the 3 were legitamately pissed off by this since we'd be 1st and 2nd. So again thanks for organizing the event, it must have been a pain in the tooshie but it still needs improvements. Grats to the winners.
No the OP stated no registeration required in advance, it is stated under the trophy picture, maybe you need to read the OP again,
Fail @ ARkadia Race. Im a veteran on races in entire Entropia Universe, but by far i never see ANY TYPE OF DESORGANIZATION in such event like this. Its not because i didnt able to get prizes, but its lots of fails that i cannot count on. If even the organization stills says its a beta event, please you can at least study a little more the race circuit before making rules in the middle of a event, it stills dont works this way.
Well maybe the next one you are at you could keep your mouth shut long enough for the people running it to get the rules out to people... You may also want to go back to school and learn some reading comprehension so you can understand the rules that were posted in first post... May also help with spelling for when you YELL DESORGANIZTION .... Lastly when you try to use an exploit in leu of an actual features of the track you are on make sure the VTOL with the spotter is NOT directly over head AND streaming you live doing it. And lastly dont try to put make up while you are driving.
Hi Everyone Ok here goes ...the rules were stated in the OP and i have read the posts so far on here ..so im going to post my thoughts here about the whole event .. ok there were official short cuts on the track and there is some unofficial ones that people took ..everyone was shouting about short cuts and if they could be took ...it was answered that the official ones could be taken... the eye in the sky was spotting the people that that took the naughty short cuts and were disqualified from the race ... then were allowed to race again at the end of the heats .. the event had alot bigger response to it that was expected ..and with this type of event they take some sorting out and i thought in general it went down very well for a first event on the race track . despite people shouting about people take'in short cuts. I also would throw down for someone to take a brand new event on a new track and do better than tesh and the rest of us that help'd out with the event ..it is so easy to sit on the fence and say you should do this and do that and and moan about what you did'nt do . i was going to race myself and i have run the track many times and know all the official short cuts... but as tesh was having lag and DC issues.. so myself isclay and milena jumped in to help out along with others that were dotted around the track checking for people going a way they were not supposed to go ...and i saw all the Go's as they were supposed to happen we can not be held responsible for peoples chat lag that didn't see at the same time as other people ..we have no control of this what so ever .. with first events like this it is a big learning curve so please any constructive ideas are welcome ..but please no BS cos you didnt win .. would just like to give a big thank you to all that put the effort and time in sorting this event out for players to take part in regards
First of all: Who are you to say someone to keep the mouth shut up? Second: The rules was changed in the middle of race btw. If you can can jump to another Track just below you, Why you cannot Cut a Hairpin? For me its the same thing. Gratz and be less agressive next time.
Rules were not changed in middle of race the drop down to other track is done by a road and is part of the split tracks The route that was banned is definately not part of the track and so was not allowed.. If you deliberately CHEAT dont BITCH when you get caught SIMPLEZ.
Rules where NOT changed in middle of race....rules were "Useable roads" NOt cut across a small patch of land to get to shorten the length of the road you are on...What are you 5? Normal thinking human beings dont follow the win by any means in a simple game. Thats just juvinille specially when you go on and on about it like you are. As far as me talking I bring my talk to a place where that is the point. To discuss things. Not stand at a public event waaa waaa waaa I cant get my way... Were you allowed to cut across the grass in track and field in gym class...NO.. so why should you be allowed in a race?
It was a fun race, at least for me. I'd like to see a Mk2 or 3 race in the near future... As well as a valkyrie race. It was the first time we used this course and we learned a few things. I thought I'd mention the things I learned... 1) the race coordinator should post a map of the racetrack ahead of time and mark the acceptable routes on it 2) limit contestants to 6 per race, if you have too many pods on the starting line they bounce each other make it difficult to stay on the line 3) have people spotting in VTOLs above the places where shortcuts are possible, preferably running video 4) make sure no one drops items on the course 5) if you start by chat countdown, make sure the crowd knows not to post chats during the countdown 6) have an official ready to declare a false start if the need arises 7) once you're disqualified for taking a shortcut, you're disqualified... no second chances 8) Teshik needs a new computer
Greetings, thanks for another adviser's event. You guys keep really going and also the prizes given out are getting greater and greater everytime. Also thanks alot for all your time you invest in your events. I haven't seen any information on the website that you get any payment for your work so it's not to underestimate that you are doing this all in your free time and you all should get a golden advisers medal to wear around your necks. I'm sure that the race event brought more people to the track as expected and such situations afford alot improvisation which gives experience and I think that you already have noticed what can be done on the organisational side for the next time. As I understood there will be adjustments to the racetrack in the future so it wont be erased from the planet and I am sure it was not the one and only race we ever saw. I recommend that everyone dont stick too much into a "who made what and who said what and what not" that only leads to engagement in wanting to be right. What would you like to see for the next races? What ideas can you bring in? Im sure that the advisers are happy for everyone who likes to take part on the organisational part for the next races or hands in his ideas. Solo
Hi Neil point 1 ... this was talked about after the race ended and will be done in future events point 2 ... this was done on the request of Cyrus not teshik or us helping out point 3 ... Teshik is on a limited connection at the moment not a crappy computer but ty for your post and this will be taken in to account in future races we organise regards

Venue This event will take place on the New Racetrack which is was of the Arkadia PP content release on 29th May. The Track is located NW of Formidable Firebase Academy Teleport. The Track has split roads with different routes, some harder, some easier so tactics will come into play as to which route you take on the day. Just my twopennyworth here, but the rules on the OP clearly state that the road splits and you have the choice to take either path, whether that is the harder or easier path is for you to decide...BUT it does not say " if you dont like the path you are on you can cut corners to get to the other path"..... therefore if you veer from either of the designated paths then you have failed to complete the course accurately and should be disqualified.....Respect to Teshik for taking time and effort to set up this event, on a track that was untested. It annoys me how often people are quick to complain in this game when things dont go their way yet are not so quick to put their money where their mouths are....when you can organise an event of this magnitude in the short timescale with the constraints he has had, then by all means complain ....otherwise may i suggest that you at least show some gratitude for the fact that he organised an event of any kind...it has filled an hour or so of your time to no real cost.....what else would you have done other than spend peds for little or no return??? In fact....respect to ALL the Arkadian advisors who give their time freely to try and help players whether new or old....they do it because they want to HELP you guys, not for money, status or anything else!!!
Hi, The race was fun. I was one of the one that got disqualified. This happen because the crowd got all stir up of what happen in the first race. What happen on the first race is what got me confused of the rules. What bother me is that after this happen nobody bother to clarify it. They just continue to the next race even when crowd was stirred up. I will say it's my fault for being confused about the rules as a result I did the wrong thing. Also my English and grammar is not 100%. I know more math than English and I remember more pictures than words. Thank You Eagleton Nova
Thank you for partaking in this free-to-enter event. Sorry you didnt win this time, but please come back for future races after these minor inconveniences have been ironed out.
It is a big difference between constructiv criticism and putting tons of shit over some ppl. Only few ppl have registerd in forum before and 10-times more showing up at start. With this circumstances they all have done a great job to clear up this mess as soon as possible. I have watched the scenerie and everyone who has done this also and has some brain left in his head, was able to see that all were working hard on it. I am sure organizers will welcome criticism in a mature way, but what I can read here in some posts is far away from beeing mature. Sad to see that ppl are spending so much time and so much work in player-for-player events and always getting a kick in the ass, as a "thank you" for that from some ppl.
its fun event and at the same time havoc and controversial....anyway i ldont care too much and i like it...
View attachment 4225 The information in this event was clear that you could use the split tracks and find the fastest route. but you had a choice of which route the longer slower or shorter faster way. To cut across the divide at point 1. is clearly not following the track in any way and was disqualified, At point 2. there is a split road you can clearly see and was allowed. NOTE Some of those that were disqualified due to cutting at point 1. complained it was unclear they couldnt do that. So at the request of Cyrus we allowed all those disqualified to try again for a place in the final and were entered into another heat.
Considering that this event was a first of its kind on Arkadia, it seems to have gone remarkably well considering the time and other limits imposed for one reason or another. Some valuable lessons, tips and data can be taken way and looked at for possible future events of similar nature. Well done to all involved, you are a credit to the community both organisers and participants alike. As for the post-event angst that is starting to rear its head, well, you can't please everyone all of the time. Maybe next time things can be explained better and maybe people can try to not bend the rules as well . Either way, keep the feedback and criticism civil and constructive please. I've already had to delete 1 post and I will close the thread without hesitation if it starts getting out of hand. If you want to provide your feedback in a more colourful way than is generally allowed in the open forums then please do it via PM. Thankyou in advance.
