Same issue here, XP service pack 3. Update gets to 293.11 mb then bombs out with errror message OS = Windows XP Memory = 3328 Graphics adapter = Nvidea geforce 9600 GT Graphics adapter driver version = 4.14.13.142 Exception address = 4673595 version = 12.6.3.97283 latest nvid drivers etc, tried updating those, also tried clearing cache, and disabling every update except ark.. help lol - i getting dt's
Same here - XP SP3 crashes when downloading. After the first crash size for Arkadia download changes to 343.50, same thing seems to happen on Caly download too according to the forums. Most probable cause is the client mixing up the files, as someone reported that the file is actually some music tracks for Rocktropia :S I can download perfectly on my Win7 netbook, but I can't play there since EU doesn't like the AMD CPU/GFX combo even though it runs Crysis.
<sarcasm> really i think we need more posts on the problem with XP lets post about it on every thread and make a new Thread on every forum every hour on the hour until they fix it. I'm sure that will get it fixed faster cause obviously MA doesn't care about loosing a couple thousand users they make enough money off the 7 and Vista users.</sarcasm>
XP was a fantastic OS for its time, i happily used it for a number of years. 7 is brilliant in the same sort of stream but designed for newer hardware. If you can afford to upgrade i would certainly advise people to but MA will sort it out given a little more time.
I loved xp, so much i been crippling 64 bit computer with it lol, but so far been really impressed with windows 7. I would say to people to consider updating OS, my computer performance has increased greatly from it.
Does/Did anyone have an XP 64bit install? Can they confirm/deny the same issue that the 32bit systems were having?
