This event series is now complete. Please read below for our winners info.

    ---------------------------------------------

Arkadia turns one year old on May 25, and to celebrate the Arkadia Advisers are organizing events throughout the month. More details on each event will be posted as plans are finalized. Kick starting the party we have this series of AA/ETA weekly events. More details will be added regarding each week's route and regular prizes as we go, see below for the official prizes from Arkadia Studios for our final event run on June 3.

    ---------------------------------------------

    What:

Weekly Teleporter Collecting Runs/Tours for newcomers. If you are not a newcomer but would like to join us on the tours to collect missing tps and see the sights, you are more than welcome if there is room on the runner team, contests and prizes are only for newcomers however. The final run on June 3 will limit the runners team to ONLY newcomers, scans for agility levels will be done before we leave. Classic TP runs, plus vehicles and/or wormholes for the group as needed on each route. A small and simple competition will be offered at the end of each run for the newcomers who make it all the way through, with some prizes being offered by the AAs and ETA. The final event run contest on June 3 will feature official prizes from Arkadia Studios, and will be more of a challenging contest. Regular prizes will vary depending on availability of items donated and the type of contest on each run, see the prize section below for what's on offer.

    When:

Every Sunday throughout the month of May, and final event on June 3. Planned start time is 19:00 MA time, please start gathering if you can before this start time to be teamed. The amount of time needed to finish will vary depending on how many tps etc. For the finale on June 3 please plan to leave a good amount of time open to go on to the end contest after the the run, as it will take more than a few minutes.

    Where:

Celeste Quarry TP will be the meeting and start point.

Week One: May 6th Test Run (Finished) Route is set to be: Quarry, Celeste extra tps, Outpost, Resolute, Ocean Lookout, Implacable Firebase, Dependable Firebase, Cobra Digsite, Ruins for Contest and Prizes

Special Notes on the Final Run and Contest: We have a very different and hopefully fun surprise contest planned for this final end of run, but it may take a bit of time to complete, so depending on how long the run itself is taking, we may stop to go to the contest area before fully completing the intended route. The official prizes on offer for this one should make it well worthwhile to take the challenge :) After the contest is all finished Stave/ETA will be available at the Quarry to offer wormholes to all Arkadia TPs throughout the night as long as there is demand, please see Stave at the Quarry for details on the night.

Due to the official prizes on offer as well as the special nature of the surprise final contest, we will be limiting our runners line to newcomers only please, and only runners and security team members will enter the contest area.

    Prizes:

A variety of prizes will be offered to the newcomer winner/s of each week's end of run contest
(agility of 20 or less is preferred but flexible depending on the number of runners and type of contest at the end)
. Each end of run contest will be decided each week and will be something small and fairly simple such as races, scavenger hunts etc. (except the final contest on June 3, which should be a bit more of a challenge :) ) Prizes possible to win will be a trip up to see space (in safe zone) and the Arkadia Space Station offered by ETA, a premium membership to Planet Arkadia Forum offered by AAs and Vantastic (forum admin), TT starter weapons/ammo/faps/mining tools/armor, starter Teleporter Chips/all accessories, offered by members of the AA group (special thanks to AAs Morgan Gekko, Lee DeLioncourt and Liosha) and Stave Petty/ETA.

Previous winners are ineligible to win again on later runs (exception for the final big event on June 3), but more than welcome to join us on all of them :)

    How to Enter:

Simply turn up at the Celeste Quarry Teleporter area before start time and tell the organizers you want to join. Spread the word to other newcomers please :)

RESERVED FOR ADDITIONAL INFO IF NEEDED

Many of us old timers remember doing TP runs with great fondness, as newbies or as guards later, before we had vehicles in Entropia. Now we have the option to mix in vehicle use as needed, making for even more fun. But for those who wonder why the runs don't simply use vehicles all the way as the fastest thing to do, the answer is that TP trips are not just about collecting teleporters, they are about exploration, adventure, meeting new people, danger, and FUN.

With our first test run completed, I here take the liberty of using some quotes in chat from one of our newcomer runners when it was all done, to illustrate what the trips can be about if you are open to it. This poetic soul can claim credit for his comments later if he likes or remain anonymous :)

"This lush oasis....we call ... Arkadia
and along the way...not only did we learn of the destinations...
the factors of the outside....but we learned a little bit about....
    ourselves....and each other"

So is there a way to see MA time out of game or can someone tell me what time 20:00 MA time is compared to CST -6 time. I would like to attend but not sure I will be home from work in time.

If you check the "useful links" at the top of the forum, you can find current Arkadian time there.

Hey Tredo :) There will be more TP runs all throughout the month. I'm hoping that there can be 1 run later on for the NA folks. Good suggestion for sure.

Just a quick note that we finished the first test run and had a lot of fun and some tough runners and ETA/AA guards, you all were great thanks so much! We basically carried on for hours lol, ETA will review the experience this week and make some adjustments for next week about the time etc. and I will keep the OP updated. We also adjusted the agility levels for the contest at the end, and I will update the prize list tomorrow when I've rested a bit, but every single runner who made it all the way through with us (4 total at the end) got a little something from Arkadia Advisors to say thanks for helping us with this 'experiment' :D It was a blast!

Hi Tredo, the ETA crew are now reviewing and thinking about the next runs, and I will update the original post with any new info on next week's run. I will leave it for them to answer or post if and when things are decided, but I think at this point it is unlikely that for this month's event runs they will be able to manage two runs in a day etc. The ETA guards are mostly in European time zones, so even doing it when they did yesterday, it was a late night for all of us, but Sunday late afternoon for the USA/Canada, so just guessing doing it a wee bit earlier will work better for both sides of the pond. We can also hope ETA comes to love Arkadia and sticks around on a more regular basis in future offering the runs/tours as they do on different days/times maybe :)

    Hey all

Last night was a big success for our new format, we learnt alot and i have alot to go by for tweaks and changes to streamline and improve it all.

Next weeks may start slightly earlier and wont be as long, further details to follow in first post asap, its better for the security, as for later times for people in north america, i will speak to those that help eta and see whats possible, if else fails maybe i can do a few wormhole trips later on some times.

Thanks everyone for joining the tour, both new players and everyone else, i look forward to next sunday,

    Regards,

    Stave Petty,
    Leader of Entropia Tour Agency

My fellow Adviser and forum mod Larkin has posted a video from the first part of Sunday's run, check it out HERE. We are planning the route for this weekend's run, and it should be a bit earlier than the first, but with the current bug with low mob spawns it is difficult, as an important part of the run is to introduce the newcomers to some of the wildlife on the planet, so hoping for a fix in time to help us map the route at least. Fingers crossed and OP will be updated when details are ready.

We are green to go! Mob spawns problems will not conquer us! Route is now planned and OP updated with the May 13th route and time. We will be using a variety of vehicles as well as our good old feet, and it looks to be a fun adventure with some more cool prizes near the end of the journey. Please help spread the word and hope to see you at the Quarry this Sunday :)

Sorry I didn't make it, I did wake up on time but I've had a pretty heavy week all round so I just couldn't drag my rear out of bed. Sounds like you guys had a blast though. I'll see if I can make myself available for another run again at some future time if they are still being run.
