Celeste Island 3 and Celeste Island 4 apartments are now on auction. We will not be introducing any more island apartments in Celeste Harbour and the current Celeste Island apartments will be the only and last of its type in the area. Auction ends this weekend. Best wishes on your bids!
Nope, I will put some North and South groups later on and it will end this weekend too. Cheers, Cyrus
is their any way to implement a maxium bid system so i others dont get out bid while asleep or at work an when you relog its all gone no doubt this been asked for before but would be helpful thanks in advance
If you mean anything like eBay: no, not possible. And not in interest of MA. They are interested in as much income through fees as possible, so highest bids are best for MA.Due to this: if you really want something, it's best to either: wake up in the middle of the night (which a lot ppl do for auction) or place your highest price before you go to bed (whcih some ppl do already for lvl5 and lvl6 apartments).
Think it has the best view in game as well... That was a shade higher than I was willing to go for it though. (Gratz, BTW)
what?!? and take all the fun of getting up in the middle of the night to bidwar on something are you nuts?!?
A LITTLE?! $420 eh? That's just sickly too much. But thx to those who bid that much for driving up prices so the rest of the EU flock will think they are actually worth that much. I guess I won't be getting an apt. Tippin'
Seriously...I'd think I'd just spend 30 bux more, get another gtx680 and run sli. But hey, if you have..Or more like have and are WILLING to throw your money at stuff like that, ya might as well ruin it for those of us who aren't willing, right? :/ Tippin'
No idea who you think that is ruining something , but if i want to use an appartment and its the best place in the universe then i pay what i can afford for it - as would you. There is enough other appartments out there if one wants to have a cheaper one.
Some apartments went for starting bid, others had no bid at all and didn't sell, so I'm not sure what the problem is...
Nah...I wouldn't pay what I could afford just because I wanted it. This is the reason, well partially, why I don't have one atm. I don't know if you all realize that the few of you who WILL "pay what you can afford" have a residual affect on the rest of the pricing. Don't get me wrong JB, and the other rediculous bidders, I ain't hating on yas. But it is inadvertently jacking up prices for schmucks like me who just are reasonable and don't, or won't, pay silly prices for something. I'm sure you (all) know what I am saying. I am also fairly sure you all don't give a crap either because you all don't mind overpaying for stuff. Just as long as you get it. Ferk the rest of us and too bad. Depo more and overpay or gtfo. I get it...Ima noob but ain't nothing new around here, man. Tippin'
I said 'what i can afford for IT' means yes i had a budget for this as does everyone else who is going to buy something, even you sure are planning ahead on what you spent your peds on and thereby have a 'budget' its just different from mine. In an RCE based on a capitalistic system there is no other way of giving the choice of the prime location to those who are 'budgeting' highest - if you capped to a maximumbid all would get sold out to some resellers who would relist them higher and who gets the appartment / item of choice would no longer be decided by who values it most but by who is most online has the most time to spent to not miss out on deals (and then of course people would get employed in time versus money trades for aquisitions and it would all be the same anyways).

As wd roberts mentioned there were appartments that didnt sell at minimumbid, in real you wouldnt expect the topfloor of a skyscraper in the center of a city for 5 dollars either.
Gratz JBK, that has to be the best apartment in Celester Harbour, awesome views!. There has been a good selection available for all players incomes. Some selling for 400 straight, others much higher depending on location and the buyers preferences. The level 5 and 6 apartments have the best views so naturally in a capitalist RCE demanded a competitive price. I don't agree the prices have been unfairly ramped up. At the end of the day those of us who have paid premium are footing the bill. When I come to sell in the future I expect I may take a loss, but at this stage the apartments I have bought suit my needs. In real life I would love to own a beach front property, but I live in the suburbs because I in no way can I afford $1million for a home. Thats life. The auction has been fair and you bid on what you can afford or perceive to be the value of the property. Gratz to all the waterfront owners and hopefully the Ark team can use some of the funds to developing Arkadia even further. A nice little profit for all their hard work. Cheers Bjorn
