Ark is great, you won't regret the move... But as a Caly born citizen 25% of what you spend still goes to Caly!
The loot system and the economy is controlled by MA across all universe, there is no difference. Mobs and minerals have different look and markup but other than that, it's the same old loot system. Everywhere. Never gave me anything, not on Caly not on Ark, but it's just my personal luck or rather the absence of it...
The system is the same no matter where you go. However.. I do find it easier to get even tt returns here on Ark.. Selling here on the other hand is a royal pain in the ass. If you can afford to stock pile your returns and maybe pay 100 ped a month to Normandie for unlimited travel in their MS and sell stuff back on Caly. Bottom line is Arkadia is by far a more re;axing environment to do the things you like to do. If you like to hunt ll ranges of mobs are here.. if you like to mine there are plenty of places to do so in peace without some shit mob zerg ninja spawn trying to kill you every 5 seconds like on Caly. If you like to just hang out and socialize thats kewl here too in the Quarry .. much to do much to see.. better play, better system management..the only down side I see here thus far is trying to sell stuff for a reasonabale return... less then 50% normal MU is NOT reasonable in my book. Not big on doing a mining run and taking a week to sell enough material to go back out again without handing ALL profits to someone else.
The loot system is controlled by Mindark no matter where you go (though that does not mean that loot is exactly the same as Caly). A number of the mobs here have very good loot MU. I think the actual distribution is 25% to Arkadia, 25% to Calypso, and 50% to Mindark. That may only be the repair fees though. I don't know who gets the auction fees and the other hidden fees.
That would be the only reasonable explanation for all the negativity lately in game.It would be a shame that Calypso takes other planets down because of simple greed.
Now, now, there's one thing I don't get here..... why do you ppl say that a part of the peds spent on Arkadia goes to Calypso? (I know that Caly is now back to MA but still...) ... and why do I feel that I missed something? Either way, welcome to Arkadia Mayday! .LeZ.
Basically, a portion of the revenue generated by an avatar goes to the PP that the avatar was born on. For the vast majority of avatars that PP is Caly (which is MA and the CLD owners). On entropia forum there are some posts from MA staff validating this. The reason given is they want each PP to have a strong focus on recuiting new players rather than syphoning players from other planets. Don't fret though. Arkadia PP still gets some of the income from activity on Arkadia, regardless of the avatar origin. Hope this clears things up for you. Regards, KikkiJikki

I don't go often on EF since the creation of PCF, so I missed the posts Although it could seem weird, that sort of distribution makes sense to, as you said, encourage the PP to recruit new players.
