The set of shops and apartments of Celeste North 1 to 4 has been placed on auction. They will be ending this Saturday. Best of luck!
My personal thought is this if some one buys a place they should have to hold on to it for a period of 6-12 months before they are able to resell it. i bet this will slow them down, is there any way to do that? but what i would do is not buy any thing a resell buys. keep there peds locked in this property look how many resellers own places on caly and look how empty the malls are. this will be a sad day for Arkadia if the resellers try to get alot of them and then just relist them within 1-2 days
A few have bids on but most don't but that will probably change as people get home from work. Glad they don't have a buyout as the resellers would have bought them all by now but we'll probably see most go for a much higher priceso we probably won't see many in the hands of newbies.
I don't think the 400ped sb will have much effect on the final prices in the end, most will go for a much higher than that. We'll really see the bids go up as people get home from work and as the auctions get close to ending. But it's a shame they couldn't pull a Calypso and release a hundred. I would have liked an apartment to help reduce the strain on my storage which is nearing the 500 items again but with my budget and my unwillingness to deposit I think I'm out of the running.
They look cool and all but i've never really had much of a purpose for an apartment or house. A shop yea they make sense.
I would change the Item Points to 75 lvl1-5 and 100 for rooftop. If you have 20 items and make a table with 4 chairs for you and Friends you have only 15 left for other decoration and Thats not much for creativity. What say u?
Awesome, glade to see Arkadia moving forward No buyout is pretty much the way all initial deeds are sold, i have yet to see one initially sold with a buyout bid. 400 is not a bad starting price for apartments, I am sure if they started them at 1 PED they would all sell for over 400 anyways. It is also all about location, prime easy accessible apartments will most likely hit 1k+ hidden back ally apartments 400-600. Shops I see going upwards of 10+k for good locals 5-10k for the out of the way shops. Also not a bad starting price if they are 75+ item shops. Great work A-Team.
Think about how many buildings there are. Now figure 100 items on every single one of them. In an area like Celeste Harbour where it's already got more lag than anywhere else. No. 50 is good.
hmmm - will it be possible to sell 29 shops here at arkadia for 5k each? And if they dont sell will price be lowered?
While I don't know the internals of cryengine 2 I think it's unlikely to work that way. It seems likely that the rendering system will not need to consider the content of an apartment unless you are in the interior. Instead it will note that the apartment interior as a whole is not visible and prune off that entire portion of the rendering tree in one clip. Thus the number of items in the apartments will not effect the lag outside of them. edit: on re-reading it looks like you are talking about rooftops only. If so I guess these items might be rendered if you are flying above the city.
How many shops do you plan to release the commin 3 months? Just these 4, or more? I need to decide what im willing to bid for the shop
For the current batch, there will be a maximum of 16 shops released. More will be released in the future dependant on player growth.
