    Hi lee

it was said as a bit of fun .. but it could be a good thing for advisors to be loaned a set under the same term's as the vest .. that it dont belong to you and remains the property of arkaidia studios.. We as advisors are like ambassadors for and behalf of arkaidia to help new players and give advice to players where we can..so with this role comes the responceability of showing planet arkaidia in a good light .. and could also generate alot of intrest in the planet from players ..

because if i saw you in a armour i liked ..i would ask you where i could get it ..now i dont expect any reward for what i do for the planet. i do it because i enjoy doing it same as most of us do ..i also visit other planets with normandie radio ..but do spend 90% of my time on Arkadia since makeing it my home as i see great things coming from arkadia studios..

so what im trying to get at is that you wearing a set of armour thats on loan to you could generate more intrest in arkadia if people on other planets see the armour and know where they can get it ... if you can see where im coming from ..

same as i say i dont expect nothing for helping out as i get self reward for doing it knowing that i have helped someone along the way .

    regards

LOL, I think a set of Advisor armor should be an idea that can be entertained. However, not some uber Smuggler, but rather a dumb-down version, more in line with Adj-Pixie stats, but Smuggler armor looks, possible with different colors? Not for anything, but just for showing off Ark Armor. :):p:)

i agree with all of the latest posts. I dont think any of us joined Adviser's to gain anything other than helping Ark be the BEST. I also like the idea of a low level armor not owned by us but that showcases Ark Armor, thats not owned by us, it would serve the same purpose as a vest and would be given back in the event the user is no longer an advisor.

Either way. I would just like to give a big gz. to everyone who participates on the planet and in the forum. We are growing fast in players, economy and activity within the forum. GZ GZ GZ

    Bravo!

I agree with the idea of using Adviser's to "Showcase" the new Armor. An of course none the Adviser's has gone into the Program thinking that we should receive special treatment for free gifts. For myself, I was simply honored to be a part of the AA program and getting the vest for me was an Achievement!

I 2nd the motion of letting AA's display the new armor. I also think it should be made very clear to AA's and to the community at large that IF this were to become a reality...the armor is strictly on loan to the AA's and not a gift. Same rules would apply as they do with the AA Vest.

    My 2 PEC...

    Cheers,

    ~Isc~

This discussion going a little off topic. Before we get back on track I'll chime in that it's a slippery slope to give the advisors a significant economic advantage (which a loan of efficient UL armour would be).

I agree with that. We don't really want people signing up to be advisers so they can get some cool item for free.

And I agree with Kikki, very slippey slope if this was to happen. Which i see with alot of things recently added to the game but thats for another discussion

    Armour Stats (my 0.2)

So I decided to submit a post on the idea for armour stats and was having a careful look at the Stat options Dave has offered us… Which of course I imagine means “overall” rather than specifically, so I aggregated the data up a little and I see the following:

The basic set should be similar to Ghost: Set TT around 350, overall Protection offered about 84

The second tier should be like Phantom: Set TT around 411, overall Protection ~ 100

The third tier should be like Tiger / Angel: TT 680(363), overall Protection ~113(120)

The fourth tier should be like
    PoE: TT 1360, Protection 178
    Supremacy: 2144, Protection 234
    HAZEN: 830, Protection 270

So really, that’s quite a range on those upper levels.
From my side of the fence, I would rather have the rationale be that Smugglers are all-weather, all-terrain, all-hazards kind of travellers with an eye on survival, and that should apply quite likely cross-world.

So I would suggest / recommend an unusual, perfectly balanced armour set. Specifically: pretty much equal values across the board in all 9 damage areas for each Armour set. And simply have the sets be degrees of protection, bought as they can be afforded by the individual Smugglers.

    Smuggler Armour (81)
Stab Cut Impact Penetration Burn Shrapnel Acid Cold Electric TT
    9 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 9 360
    Smuggler Advanced (99)
    11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 11 440
    Smuggler Specialist (126)
    14 14 14 14 14 14 14 14 14 560
    Smuggler Elite (225)
    25 25 25 25 25 25 25 25 25 1000

The only personal problem I have with this is that is has a major jump in it’s stats, and I would personally far rather see a more logical progression in the numbers instead – for instance let’s say the series went on a roughly even advancement system then I would hope to see:

    Smuggler: +9
    Smuggler Advanced: +14
    Smuggler Specialist: +19
    Smuggler Elite: +25

That way the intermediate ranks of the armours are significantly improved over their lower levels and each rank is a distinct upgrade instead of having the first 3 be clustered at one end of the bracket with one set miles away.

PS: Attempted to install that grid as a nice HTML table, but it appears the HTML tags don't actually allow HTML...

UL Smuggler Armour 4: (Frosty Series: Smugger Armour)
    Stab: 5
    5
    Cut: 55
    Impact: 45

    Penetration: 5
    Shrapnel: 5
    Burn: 5

    Cold: 55
    Acid: 5
    Electric: 5

    Close: 155
    Firearms: 0
    Total: 235
    Durability: 6000
    Condition Limit: 3%
    Weight: 2Kg
    Set TT: 1800Ped

    Why?
Top armor for Arkadia must be an armor you can use on the tuffest mobs on Arkadia.
    - Scoria Stalker - 8500HP - 219 max dmg. Protection 100HP
    - Yuka Stalker - 7800HP - 384 max dmg. Protection 155HP
    - Kamaldon Stalker - 6200HP - ?250? max dmg. Protection 155HP
    - Teladon Stalker - 5200HP - ?200? max dmg. Protection 155HP
    - Korwil Stalker - 2650HP - 208 max dmg. Protection 165HP

We dont have PvP on Arkadia thats why protection is low here. No other than Korwil does damage outside cut, stb and imp so no reason for high protection in acd and elc

I agree with your Stats here Yquem, but I am afraid an armor with stats like this would drop even more rare than Angel would do. Simply because it's way too good to be true... then MA will drop the dropping rate to nearly never.

Dont forget that we have lots of mobs that do Penetration damage too, thats why I put that high. Almost sure Kadra do Pene and sure Kiana do penetration and I guess both stalkers would be tough for most people

Or maybe keep 4 for korwil and 3 for kadra/kiana

I just picked the top most HP mobs for the Top armor - then i surgest the next 5 mobs should be covered by the no 3 armor.

And to smorebel. Nobody says that the marked should be flooded with the no 4 armor
