I'm going to try to start up a journal here and log my events, hopes, mistakes, and general foolishness. I'm going to set up the framework and slowly fill it in. If you have any suggestions for a section do let me know. I'm a non-depositer except for a very small amount a while back that I more or less screwed up on. I started on Calypso with a friend and sweated a lot there. My friend quit almost immediately. I used to be in a soc called the Knights of Calypso. They helped a lot to get started but I stopped playing for a few months. Came back, relearned everything I forgot and procured a transport to RT to do the The Thing quest. I can't describe the frustration and horrors I went through to get that mission done but Neil Stockton came and helped me get through the last bit and take me off that hellhole and to Arkadia. Did some stuff and fell off the grid for a few more months. Lost both friends and my society due to inactivity at this point. I didn't mind much since I again had to relearn everything and try to live with my perma newb status. I sweated for a bit, fell asleep at the keyboard and again a few months went by without any EU. I log back in to the quarry being very different and cursing at my past-self for repairing my now bright orange shirt. At this point you can click here to see what happened next. Needless to say the newbie quest led to a lot of things including a finding a very nice and generous mentor by almost pure chance. Will I stick around this time? Who knows! I know I will at least honor my mentor by graduating before I poof again. That's my story thus far, see you all in-game! Main Journal 2/20/2012 Didn't do much today. Swunted mobs when I woke up and on accident left my gun on auto-shoot when I went to make breakfast. Will probably avoid logging on before I'm fully awake again. Later on I went mining in the desert, found a lot of hits in a herd of level 40 mobs. Did a lot of avoiding to get to my markers, no amazing finds but was consistent enough to keep me happy. Decided to try out Alan Wake for some hours after.
Hopes/dreams/expectations 2/20/2012 Not sure at this point, although I've not been known for my knack of laying out a plan for the future. My routine of sweating, mining, and hunting seem to be doing well enough for skills. I've settled on wanting to focus on BLP pistols as my main form of combat, in fact I hope to look like the guy to the left of the screen. I've yet to see anyone wearing a white variant of that armor though. I'm oddly enthralled by the valk type vehicle and plan to make that the first vehicle I purchase.
