News on 1/31 Update

Woot!! Just got this in E-mail

We have our first version update this year slated on the 31st Jan, 2012. This coming update includes an extensive storyline mission chain which affirms our commitment to improve the new player experience on Planet Arkadia and smoothen the learning curve of the game . Here are some pictures of the content you can expect this update:














Fans of Arkadia's backstory will also be pleased to know that Commodore Toán Harvir and Captain Chiharo have finally made their appearance. Both of them are situated at the IFN headquarters if you have anything to report to them.

 

Also for those who don't get the newsletter, it's really easy to subscribe in the top right of www.planetarkadia.com and only needs your name and email address.

MIND.. you should listen to the interview.. NPE = New Player Experience .. chain of missions that gives the first ark hoverpod, clothes and rookie gear.. EVERYONE can go through it.. Estimated time 3-5 hours to complete.. Will also lead to a few TP's including a new one..

 

whooo hoo I can finally get rid of my stupid Valkyrie for something more civilized. Hope it can climb hills better than a hovercraft.

 

And to add to what Zume said, NPE is PED-FREE, so anyone can play thru-it w/o having the need to deposit. It is the A-Teams' approach to giving new players the ability to play and experience EU firsthand w/o having to spend weeks on end sweating to gain the "same"* experience.

* - It wont be because sweating for weeks on end will drive most players away from the game.
