I am a big fan of arkadia. There is such a great community building and I am keen to get more people here. I am thinking of offering free flights on my quad to arkadia. What I was wandering was, are other pilots willing to do the same? and do people think its a worthwhile idea? I was thinking of targeting players on caly who might be looking for a change or are new to the game and are looking for an adventure. I was going to bring them to the quarry and show them around. Any advice from the community on selling arkadia to players and helping players make the transition?
It is not only a welcome idea but a great idea..... I offer free rides all the time on my space vehicles if I am heading in one of the directions. I am going there anyways why not fill a seat to a fellow player. My only suggestion is make sure they understand the rules of space, all stackables in materials and resources are lootable by others and they take them at their own risk. This covers your reputation as an honorable pilot about rules and protects you from complaints that people want PED's for their losses.
I spent the best part of 2 or more hours flying to The Rock last night, to bring a person to Arkadia. She has been on The Rock for months and months, unable to get anywhere else since she was born. So I gave her a gun and Bug gave her 10 ped of ammo, we hope she can make a little bit of ped to buy more ammo. And our SOC, The Knights of Calypso are always bringing people here, free of charge. My opinion is that Arkadia is the best planet for new people to skill,but I love it here and I could be a lil bit biased We plan on having SOC events here, as we did on Calypso. Like BIG HUNT FRIDAY ( event for lvl 20 and above) and we often have Opalo Hunts for our Recruits, and also MF and Melee . oh and YES, it's an awesome Idea you have
First customer on there way to Arkadia. After a run in with xane and a quick repair. Bringing a returning player. A note to the traders among us he would love to see some korss and p5a in the auction house on ark. Getting caly guns and armor onto the ark auction house would make caly players feel more at home and more likely to stay.
I already do it as well. I always ask when I am heading one direction or another, when I am not transporting precious cargo. :whistle: For myself, I just don't see the justification of pocketing someone else's PED at a rate of 15-20 PED when I need to head a given direction anyway. jc
Same here. Though if someone specifically asks to go somewhere else, or if they insist on helping to cover the trip, I'll let them pay a little bit.. just so they can ease their mind (some won't take no for an answer) Sometimes if someone's actually looking for a ride and I wasn't planning on going, I'll suggest about 10 PED.. less than what most services are asking, anyway.
