Divided, as I got mainly 1.0 hits even from domi and alpha in goblin+2a

And at first I thought it was only the "jumping hits" but it can hit you with any hits, as I wrote above typical for me was 5-10hits/mob when they were being killed with ASI-40 Arctic

Very interested to try them out... gotta head back to ark as soon as I can get a flight :)

Few questions ... anyone try them with apis? (or comparable dps)
How often do they hit, or are they like all other ark mobs... armor decay machines?
Hp wise are we talking levi (3k+)?

HP starts at 3.5k and ends at 8.5k

the one I tried seemed to hit less then the general Arkadian mobs, but I know the others can answer that better then me after one kill lol

An ASI-40 Arctic has 79 max dmg with 51 shots per min, a little better than an apis. It still took about 100-110 amped shots to kill a provider.

Generally, they were hitting every 2-3 shots with an occassional miss (maybe every 5 hits was a miss, with 30ish evader).

Almost all the Firebases has the IFN terminals (near the teleporters) where you can get the IFN Challenge Mission.

If u hunt in team, don't stand so close and it will only damage one at a time. I hunted in team with 3 persons, We took down up to Stalkers. And they looted Mindforce chips in mass. About 1 chip/kill.
In team with onlu 2 we consentrated on old and mature but occasionally was attacked by bigger. Some fapping and we took them down too, just took some more time. All from mature up to stalkers did loot mindforce chips(we never found any young to kill).

Was there first time today, looted *many* MF chips. Only found small at Region-I and big at Region-J. Have not found any provider or guardian. Someone knows where to look for them?

I'm finding these a lot easier to hunt than many other arkadian mobs. I've been focusing on the lower maturity ones and finding that boar+5b is more protection than I need (thats what I happened to be wearing and I was too lazy to change). Aggro is low, damage is low. Hp and therefore loot is high.

Only downsides are you prob need a big ped card for the loot cycle, and the loot balance is skewed too far to MF chips.

I went in shogun +5b today.

A single young hit me for 1.0 - 15.1 damage, it never did a crit.

ASI-30 and Low Rider MKI, I thought it was easier than solo against a levi. I never had to heal, but would have before i started the next mob.

Edit: Well last time i fought levi i didn't have 5b just gremlin :)

updated OP with the Challange info, any feedback on how it looks?
Thought it would be a good place to collect the mission rewards in one place

I noticed something strange on Scoria 2 days ago. After a mining trip, I decided to suicide onto a Scoria Dominant. At that time, I was only wearing the new harness and helmet which are received after doing the newbie missions. I can't remember the exact protection that gives, but it's very low.

    So I ran into the Scoria Domi and took following damages : 65.3 - 75.2 - 6.0 - 86.0

Judging from the 86.0 hit, a Scoria domi does at least 43.0 as minimum damage. Even if that 6.0 hit was on my harness or helmet, it can only be explained as a damage calculated based on my HP at that moment, because those harnesses/helmets have no where near 37 total protection.

Sorry if this is old news to some :) I remember reading about damage distributed over several ava's, but I was alone at that time. So the only explanation I can come up with is that some hits from Scoria are related to your HP at that moment. Again, I did read about such damage, but never saw proof of it as clear as this.

Scoria have two types of attacks. Not sure what damage the area affect attack does for high maturity mobs.

Any idea how to test the two attacks?

As today when I was healing on stalkers I thought i put on Goblin for some protection so I never need to worry about my own health but instead of the expected 3-4dmg protection it was more like 1dmg less only, so useless with that Impact armor for the purpose I used it. (were taking 6-7dmg without armor and it's a bit much for natural regen)
Then once the hunter got crit to death a Stalker hit me for 29.1 in Goblin too before I had the time to take it off again.

    Jenn,

taking only that small amount of damage from stalkers (main attack does max 219 according to entropedia), I am going to assume you took an aoe attack. My understanding is that aoe attacks ignore armour and do a % of your current health. We've seen that in the arkadian instances. Perhaps I am wrong about that but if it's correct then armour against that scoria attack is not effective.

Entropedia also allocates stab/impact as the only damage types for the main attack but the page history notes that the proportions are not known. If we can rely on the info as far as it goes then

Scoria young does max 56 dam. Find some tough armour or plate so that a scoria young hit is not likely to exceed the max protection that is offered against at least one of the two damage types. Sounds tough but P5 offers 5 stab, 28 prot - so you could put that on some scaffolding armor. ( I know a shop where p5 can be bought :p )

Take a hit and then fly away. Or remove armour and die. Record decay and damage incurred to work out what the total hit was and the protection that was offered. If your gear has provided max protection then you need to try again. Play with a spreadsheet to find the % damage breakdown that fits your results.

    Regards,
    KikkiJikki

Its easier to do an armor test with 1 hp, so the decay shot kills you, leaving no other chance for another hit to ruin the results
