i had a problem with et aswell. after the suite was updated, maybe it was on wednesday, tracker closes unexpectetly several times during a short session. it´s something with net.framework i gathered, but these files are up to date here.
I got that error too. I think the app was out of date and couldn't update itself. I downloaded the current version from the website and it works fine now. Note that I used to keep the suite application in my startup folder but it doesn't seem to like that setup anymore. So I went to ET settings, told it to start up when the computer is turned on, and it's been running fine for the last couple days now, starting up automatically.
I just uninstalled and then installed the latest from the site. Seems to run fine now. Info states that it has been downgraded to .NET 3.5 from 4.0 so it looks like some will have to get the latest client and install that.
Mine updated automatically when i restarted it earlier this week, its been running much smoother for me since then. narfi
I have been having problems with the ET launcher not closing down properly on windows 7. It gets rid of the tray icon and the running icon when I close the ET Launcher app but I have to do a taskkill on the process before I can restart it again. Any idea what could be going on there anyone?
There has been some server issues lately - ofcourse i tried to fix them last night, just before bed.... But the fix seems to have solved the issue... Its when the ET server is unresponsive ET seems to "lag" once you log in - the program stalls until you get the login token from the server.. (this shouldent take more than 1-2 sec).. If the server is unresponsive for more than a minute - .NET fails.. I will release an update that can handle that. isclay: im not sure I can fix the error you got, since thats a "generic" .NET error which happens before ET starts. It gives that error as part of the application verification against the ET server. This is likely also because the ET server is unresponsive, but thats the IIS worker process thats lagging. Again, I hope I have fixed the issue with the fix I made last night - but I cant put that in a "try / catch" block in the program because it happens before the program enters any code I can manage.
Thank you Star...I will uninstall the program, download again and see if that works as others have done. I appreciate your attention to this matter. Cheers! Isc
Ok...I did the uninstall/re-install and it seems to have solved the problem. FYI - Before this happened when I ran the program I had to have it in my "STARTUP" file in Windows b/c it would not start even though I had ticked the "Start with Windows" box in ET Suite. Now, after re-install and re-setup, it starts as it should without having it in "STARTUP." It's all good now. Isc
