Carabok Punies are supposed to drop Animal Eye Oil right? And they do. But by some reason not at Courageous Firebase Academy. I have been killing Caraboks for hours there today in the morning. And haven't got a single bottle! The place must be jinxed. I moved to Repulse Firebase Academy and immediately got a bottle of the oil. Just for the sake of experiment I moved to Celeste Quarry - Eye Oil seems to be dropping as usual. I never though loot could depend on location like mining.
Very interesting... now I'll have to head over and see if I can find any. Edit: on my first loot, I got 1 eye oil After about 15 minutes, I've got 9 eye oils. So... I'd say that if they aren't looting eye oil for you, it must be due to some factor other than location...
Nope. No oil again. Another avatar was getting eye oil here before i came. He stopped getting it when i came. I'm jinxed. lol
OK, finally after killing 20 or so caraboks more I started getting eye oil. And it's coming well now.
As another avatar noted loot seems to be coming in cycles. i just wanted to craft some Musca armor. Not that I need it, but it's good for my crafting skills. And I like the look of Musca. You can wear it just as clothes. That's why I needed eye oil. And I like Courageous firebase because you can see mobs at night. At other places it's pitch dark for me. I can't really see anything. At least on my monitor. I cant's change gamma in options because I'm in low graphics. But here because of the snow it's ok.
