I'd like to submit these first 3 below:
    View attachment 381
    From Igor Laptev.
I like the textures and the possibility that something like this could exist in Arkadia.
    View attachment 382
    From Wchild.
This is a Stal-Laval steam turbine manufactured in 1927. Love steampunk technology and would love to see some implementation of it within Arkadia. The dark mood and grittiness is also a plus.

I'd like to exchange my first picture by Igor Laptev
    with this picture by michaelanderson.
This beautiful and I think it matches the textures and colors shown in Arkadia pictures.

Pictures are randomly found on the internet, and I could not find the credit of who has taken them or where I had found them, they where lying on my hdd since a few years IIRC.. THe first picture as a link in the middle called shutterslock? I am not sure, I am slightly color blind and I seem to have a problem reading after the "Shutt" part... :D

Not my pictures, as my pictures from the trip are either at my parents on the attic, or lost forever.

However, one of the most impressive sites I saw was Arches National park in Utah. It's a huge area with sandstone that got eroded over the millenium, causing parts of the oldest rock to collapse, with the upper layers remaining intact, and resembling arches.

Natural phenomena like the below would be entirely possible, either caused while the planet was initially forming, or later due to the elements.

    Below is Skull Arch

Another amazing sight, though somewhat morbid, were the Paris catacombs. For those unfamiliar with the story, during the mediaval times, Paris buried its dead just outside the city. As the city continued growing, they found themselves literally living on top of the dead.

And as many were too poor to afford caskets, a lot of the dead would be buried without a casket, causing rotting human remains to contaminate the local water supply. In order to deal with this, bodies were exhumed, and the bones were stored in former mines.

The end result is endless piles of skulls and bones artistically stored.

I can imagine a planet like Arkadia having similar places, as colonists wanted to ensure those who fell during the travels, or while conquerring the planet from the local wildlife would be honored for eternity.

The picture below is of a room called the Crypt of the Sepulchral Lamp:

My third entry doesn't need an introduction, I think. If this does not look alien, then I don't know...

Bonus picture: Also from the Utah park comes Balancing Rock:
