Have to say, I'm beginning to like my new finder:

So far, it's been worth every PED spent on it :)

    Thanks

@ Stagger - Maybe I should. Still on the same run (no enhancers, no amps) and just got this one:

Been a really weird mining for 2 days now. Maybe I just happened to buy some F-106 with very lucky hidden loot stats or smth. No idea, but not that I mind. Quite happy the way my finder works atm. :)

Just dropped all on TradeTerminal to check tt. 400peds spent on probes and 1470peds tt-value of resources pulled with my RockRipper.
I'm just afraid of one thing. I might get punished with 2 months dry spell for 2 days good luck in mining :/

Hope not, but wouldn't be surprised if happened, for what I've learned of this game, nothing is given for free...

Gratz, but why no swirlie screens? Are you not running the tracker?

@ Jenny Ferr - Haven't even made an account on Tracker yet. That's why there's never any big screenies with swirleys, on my posts.

Now is the time to do it mate. The more people running the Tracker software, the better the accuracy of the results.

Thanks for all gratz and comments, but when nearly 50% of replies are about me not running this Tracker software, I guess I either:

    1. Make an account on Tracker and keep it running while playing and post every small even +50ped global here on forums

    2. or start mining "undercover" with Global/HoF horns piped down and muted + make sure to dust of any swirley leftovers off of my shoulders when visiting Command Posts, for I might run into Jenny Ferr and I got the impression she's gonna spank my sorry noob ass if she finds out I've done "that" without Tracker running and nothing posted on PAF.

    1. is your only option, as I got my globles on all the time so I'll see you even if you try to go undercover!

    There. Done.

    *sulking*

I followed the instructions given, but ET just says: "Waiting for EU to be active"

Found chat.log file and my client writes it okay. Fresh entries of 2011-09-02 can be found, but ET is not picking them up, for it thinks my client isn't running? Waiting for EU to be active?

Maybe I have to re-install the whole ET?

ET only works when you are ingame - picking up globals live from the chat.log. It is not a program that reads the chat.log AFTER you have played EU - but it reads the chat.log WHILE you play EU.

Once you start playing EU - it will change status to "EU window active", and data will start being filled into the "server communication" window.
Please note, ET only works if you play Entropia Universe in English as the chat.log is in English then.

I had Entropia running (lang: english) and when seeing a global, I checked the chat.log and it was recorded on log file, but ET still said: "Waiting for EU to be active"

Maybe a short test run wasn't enough. Some delay with ET to notice my client was running?

Edit: It's finally picking up globals. Odd delay on start up though and I wish there would be that Arkadian map for tracking my mining runs.

The "issue" with the startup delay is a known bug. It is because you (likely) have a big'ish chat.log .. if its +15 MB - I would suggest you manually back it up or delete it.

I will make a new version of the ET client this weekend that checks the size of the chat.log and offers you to back it up if it is too big.

That might be the case here. Deleted old log entries and hopefully it starts up quicker this way.

Arkadian community exerted slightly coercive pressure during the process, but now You have one more ET running on Arkadia

Infact, you have a better chance of your globals getting recorded as well. Its not just "my benefit" if more people run the ET client. The more people that runs the ET client, the better the data on the site will be. And if the data is good enough, then the planet partners - arkadia has been very good at this - will use ET as a base of their "big events".

Arkadia currently have the "Curb The Oratan Food Supply Event" running which uses Entropia Tracker as a data collection method. Previously they had the Alienware event that did the same. Since MindArk does not provide the planet partners with a tool that can deliver the same data, having data gaps in Entropia Trackers data would be an "issue".

So, if you like the events Arkadia offers and would like to see them expanded - perhaps to mining as well - then I would suggest you always run the ET client so we can get accurate data. And - also get all your friends to run the ET client. :)

Well, at the moment, I'm not running it for "my benefit" in any level. If it would have Arkadian map besides those Calypso and Amethera and I could keep track of my mining runs with this tool, then it would be "my benefit" :)

Now I just run it more or less on the basis of helping out Arkadian community. Not as much for my own needs.

I can see, well actually that's impossible, but I can imagine it must've taken an awful lot of work for You to make this sofware and keep it updated.

So, I'm doing it also for You, to appreciate the effort You've put into this, but there's still nothing for me, yet, as an Arkadian miner. I can easily live without swirley screenies, but if posting a HoF screen (with those swirleys and all) makes others happy on this forum, then fine by me :)
