Rumor about texture BPs, correct?

Rumor has it that David said in game that textures wont be here until August, is this true?

I seen it in some other places on forum too so I hope for some clarification regarding this as I cant afford to have all the peds tied up for an additional two months time, and I dont want to tt these things either as most look awesome and cant wait to see the textures

 

Yes, it's a big stretch for all my hunting activities as well, it's hard to survive TT-ing all skins.

Without textures in use the planet's economy is half-done, how come we need to wait for 3 months?

I was under the impression that textures will be in game after the first two patches

 

they have trouble making the textures we make match the clothing or something like that endy that's the explanation we got why it's missing, so please leave this thread for a 'Yes' or 'No' on the rumor speculation

 

I expect you are looking for an official response from PP. However, to clarify my quote, I attended a Q&A session with David at Sanctuary Cove about a week ago (sorry, have trouble keeoing track of days). I asked the question re textures and that was the gist of the response from David.

I see no news in the client loader about any update soon so any word on updates to get our texture BPs in?

 

I doubt we will see any updates untill the mentoring update 26th of sept.. maybe a small server reboot on wednesday to end migration.. And TBH i have a feeling that MA once again screwed Dobson (PP's) over.. I can't tell why, as i promised not to say anything.. But still.. A feeling they weren't aware of this long update break/new big fat update coming..

I hope that the mentoring update/return doesn't adversely affect the work on Ark textures.

 

Mentoring is MA, textures is A-team, I think...

 

Dave said a while ago that the textures were there, there was just an issue with implementation, hence we lost textures on a VU some time back, will see if I can find the quote and update post with it, which would put the ball back in MA's court.

In the interview, Dave said they fixed it.

So obviously they either hit additional troubles or they're waiting on MA to implement the minipatch.

 

thanks Dave, yeah I know you never said a date just wanted to check if any news about it was in before i started to click all my leathers and wools

 

i'd be really pleased to see them implented too,
for now the textures sit in my storage
