Congratulation to all the winners, thank you Mindark & Arkadia Staff to publish ASAP all lists of scores (1st to 100th or 200th for exemple in each category ) including "not enought time" or "too much abandonned" discalified, etc... and being the most clear as possible for all ...


I think results already make a big wave of "support cases" and we all need transparency.

Total score will be calculated based on hourly point averages to derive each participant's 20 hour normalized points

Just to confirm my understanding of what we are expecting to be true for 100K points in this competition:

As per Dylan's original post:

By my own rough calculation I played for around 21 hours, and according to my Quest Log, I clocked 114,982 points in Category 1.
My own calculation of my 20-hour normalised score, if I allow for the possibility I was closer to 22 than I realise, should have been a minimum of 114982 / 22 * 20 => 104,000 points.

Not sure how people manage to post 4.5 times that number, but that's a different story, and the question is: were they correctly normalised?

 

We still don't have an answer to this?

I ran cat 1 with 17 Modified Nuerostim, 3x hyper 15s and Deva FEN maxing out the buff system from the action side. I ran with 13% item reload meaning I was at full reload capped by the buff system for 17 hours and was only -2% reload for 3 hours.

I had 22% increased run speed from 1 ring alone and was one shotting the mobs so quickly that with a skill pill running I was losing about 35% of the loot because I was having to run to the next spawn point.

Yet I got a second by an 18.12% margin? It's not possible. We know that because we simmed it.

Increased crit chance or increased crit damage wouldn't account for that 18% gap when the mobs were one shot one kill. I believe my actual kill rate was 1.3-1.4 shots per mob on average.

We reached out to other players to help us decide how that 18% gap could exist given the mobs were only 110hp.

Option 1: scores were not normalized and the player in "first" simply ran for 4-6 hours longer than I did

Option 2: the buff system was bypassed and the buff caps didn't work as programmed aka the old mayhem bypass

Options 3: A player got the rules in advance, chipped out ALL skills, chipped in 45 levels of BLP and Pistol (more than all skills sold on auction by a vast amount) and then got their hands on the only tier 8 Adjusted Madox 4 in game (which we can not locate and believe to be locked in an abandoned account) that player then chipped out ALL skills every time they needed to reenter the instance and ran a perfect 20 hours with a specific combination of pills and rings that were not mod neuro.

That's like saying if a purple elephant walks by on a Tuesday that's on the 11th of the month while it rains and a marching band is playing yankee doodle dandee.

Option 3 does NOT account for why JBKs score isn't even on the winners list when it obviously should be or why captain jack's scores were somehow not properly recorded. Only option 1 accounts for those mistakes also.

Looking at the scores it should have been obvious to anyone that something was wrong. Out of the 12 scores 11 are extremely close to each other as competition winners run at system max. The fact that there is an 18.12% gap in the scores at all should have been a MASSIVE red flag that something was wrong before they were ever posted.

We have reached out to thousands of players via forum, societys, Youtube and twitch and the ONE way that gap is possible is about the most unlikely thing i've ever heard anyone say. This was simmed against every combination of in game possibilities and there was ONE potential solution as listed above.

Support cases have gotten copy and paste responses and the worst part is that it isn't fair to take a prize from someone you said won if they indeed did not. Getting the correct scoring and correct winners list is priority #1 (along with figuring out how this happened why this happened and what went horribly wrong). Priority 2 is figuring out how to fix it.

I'm not advocating taking away a prize you said someone won if they indeed did not. It's MA and the PP's mistake for releasing results so horribly incorrect and inaccurate. But the entire issue still needs proper resolution instead of being swept under the rug and hoping it goes away.

Princess, you're an alt right ? A new player coming with that exaggerated, over inflated speech with so "much knowledge" and not that much story to tell on Entropia Life... you gotta be an alt right ?

Is it that hard to accept that someone had a higher score than you ? What if they find you're an alt after all these investigations and decide to remove you from any prize ? Sometimes silence.... is a great thing!

When you somehow mention players that should've won, i had a bigger score than one of them from my maths, and also MA maths seem to corroborate the values... so there i am, 3rd place in cat 2 and very happy about it - note, there's a discrepancy in values between my readings and MA's readings, but the error might be consistent, so despite the values are wrong, the rankings still stand... i also never expected to hit the same numbers as MA, since they don't publish their formula so i just won't assume things and be as "self entitled" as some people in the game, instead i just enjoy it and won't cry over a few peds.

Also when you say that you (or that 3rd person "we" you use) reached out to thousands of entropia players... where are they? more alts? hahaha

 

Did u use pistol princess? Because with range u can just blast endlessy dont even need running speed then. i got 300k points and it took 2 shot to kill mob unless i critted had 0 rings and 10mg buffs

So Quick math i wud had 500k+ score if i was 1 ahotting them

 

I hate to break it to the trolls but you do know when you create an account MA actually requires ID correct? I've had this account for what, almost 2 and a half years now? I am pretty amazed at the amount of outright harassment that somehow doesn't get people banned. That is something that does impress me.

To answer the actual question of the person with more than half a brain cell:

I mainly used the BC ArMatrix line because BLP gives you more uses per minute than laser. Obv, when you add in reload speed the difference between 48 uses per minute and 60+ uses per minute can be greatly multiplied.

There were some Lr's thrown in the mix because of the added range of about 50%.

You bring up a good point that the sim couldn't account for: the mobs were clustered. There would be a cluster of super dense mobs to the left/right of the boss temples. There were some mobs mixed in the other area's but not nearly as dense.

Pistol would have worked well in the high density area's the issue was once you killed those you would then have to get to the next high density area. This generally made the BC and LR line ideal because you never had to stop killing; simply kill as you run by the low density spots on the way to the high density spots. This is an issue the sim that suggested a teir 8 adjusted maddox 4 couldn't account for.

Just a side note: Generally I'm considered a dumb blonde with a big chest. So if even I could pick up on this game simply from living with someone obsessed about it then it doesn't speak highly of peoples self perception if they feel this game is hard to understand.

Please feel free to mansplain to me how this game is just oh so hard for a woman to grasp. I'll wait.

 

If I understood you correctly, you did not pick up 35% of the loot and ran to the next mob.

You should know that points are credited at the moment of raising the loot.

If you just killed the mob and didn't pick up the loot = 0 points.
