New player here trying to best use my online time. Are there any other daily quests out there, besides the IFN oratan quest?
There is the Arkadia Passport mission chain you get at the new arrivals hanger, worthwhile for new players http://www.entropiawiki.com/Info.aspx?chart=Mission&id=1685
Daily: Travel to Calypso and Cyrene, and Rocktropia to do the dailies there! With the removal of the planet entry fees this is a lot more feasible than it used to be.
On Arkadia the IFN dailies are the only ones, and are set up to get harder as you progress down the chain, but also as your skills progress too. On other planets there are dailies, but tbh very few of them are set up for new players, except perhaps the first level (single daily token) mission on Calypso. To do the rounds of the planets may indeed be cheaper now in terms of ped spent for transport, but if you have restricted time to play, would eat a disproportionate amount of it. I would suggest you try to complete stage 1 of the normal mission chains on the lower level mobs, (carabok, gallard, then perhaps low maturity halix, zadul, ostelok) that way you should quickly gain those skill rewards as well as the skills while doing them. Most of these drop hides that can be stacked and sold with a fairly good mark up to help fund the hunting. Many people with restricted budgets don't just hunt, they swunt (sweat it dry then kill it), this is slower but very doable and also gives additional skills Similar activities can ofc be done on other planets but the completion of these early missions seems a lot quicker on Ark. Just a tip when low level hunting, swunting or just sweating don't wear armour, you may die a little more often, but you reduce your decay bill and also increase the skill gains especially in evade. Evade is the best and cheapest armour of them all
